A few nights later Jen invited me to go with her to meet up with the guys. They were all getting together at a bar a few blocks away to talk about the schedule and arrangements for their upcoming tour.
"Sure" I agreed and she seemed happy.
"Matt and Cam are coming tonight too" she told me. I had only met them a few times.
"Cool" I smiled.
We arrived and found the guys already sitting at a large round booth.
"Fashionably late" Jake winked at me as I slid in to the seat. Jen sat between us so she punched his arm lightly for me. He laughed and hugged us both.
"Oh yeah you guys are-" Cam made some kind of signal with his hands causing us all to laugh.
"Yeah we're-" Jen laughed copying his actions.
We all ordered drinks and the guys started to talk. It looked like they all had their own stuff to work out so the table was pretty silent for a while.
Cam slid along to sit next to me.
"You okay?" He smiled.
"Yeah, fine" I smiled back. "Just don't have a schedule to work on"
"Yeah" he laughed slightly. "I'm going for a smoke" he paused. "I know you don't… but… it's something to do" he smiled.
"Yeah sure I'll get some fresh air" I smiled.
We walked past the bar and out into the smoking area. It was pretty dark and Cam's face was only lit by the light from his cigarette.
"You got a-" he said, moving a stray hair from across my eye.
"Oh" I replied helping him brush it back behind my ear. His hand lingered on my face and he took the cigarette out of his mouth with the other.
"Umm… thanks" I said awkwardly, whilst he blew smoke down and out of his mouth.
He moved his face closer and began to pull mine gently towards him.
"Cam?" I questioned but his lips were pressing softly against mine. I turned my head and pushed him by his chest.
"What the hell?!" I shouted.
"I thought you wanted to!" He responded.
"I'm with Jen" I stated.
"So?" He replied. "I'm with Matt"
I looked at him disgustedly.
"Just leave me alone okay?" I said coldly.
He went back inside.
'I can't tell Jen' I thought. It would ruin the group and possible our relationship. I couldn't destroy her band, I knew how much she loved it.
I heard the door open behind me.
"I thought I got rid of you" I said flatly as Cam reappeared and leaned again last the wall.
"I brought you a friend" he said.
Jenna walked in behind him.
"What ya doing out here?" She smiled.
"Just getting some air" I smiled back. "I just had a bit of a headache"
"Wanna go back home?" She asked with a worried expression.
"No I'm fine" I replied. "Let's go back inside"
"Ok" she smiled, leading the way.
Cam smiled as I walked past him.
"Don't think I'm doing this for you" I hissed, before walking in and sitting the door behind me.
