I ran down the halls of the school, trying to find you.

I never did.

I started giving up hope, everyone told me that you were probably dead.

But, I knew you weren't.

I walked into the school's abandoned building, to find a boy in his pool of blood.

I checked his pulse,

He's still alive... I thought

I called out for help, soon later realizing it was you.

I panicked, my heart shattering into pieces.

I felt your hand on my hand, as you whisper the 4 words I've been dying to hear.

"I love you, Ruby"

I looked down at you, as a P.E teacher came rushing in.

The next thing I knew, I was next to you.

It's been 2 years, while you've been in a coma.

I looked at you, as your eyes lit up.

You looked at me, your eyes filling with curiosity.

I wanted to hug you but before I could even move, you asked

"Who are you?"

My heart sunk, I felt numb.

I replied to you, giving a little smile "I'm Ruby, a classmate of yours" on the brink of tears.

We were more than classmates, we were really close.

That's when we drifted off into different ways.

You couldn't recall anything about me until now.

It's been 10 years, Jacob.

It's too late.

The boy I used to love was washed away while you were in the hospital.

You approached me yesterday giving me a tight hug and whispering in my ear "Ruby, I still love you. I'm sorry"

But the problem was, you had a girlfriend already.

I also had someone new, so it's too late Jacob.
