The gym cheerleading try-outs reads a sign on the wall. big banner showing the fighting Sunnydale razorbacks hangs next to it. Pretty girls, in short skirts are twirling and warm up. Buffy in a cheerleading outfit enters with Willow, Kayla and Xander.
"Giles didn't approve, huh?" Kayla asked her twin
"He totally lost his water. We haven't even seen a vampire in a week." Buffy replied looking at her friends
"I'd say he should get a girlfriend if he wasn't so old." Kayla told them while letting out a laugh
"Well, we're behind you." Willow smiled looking at buffy
"People scoff at things like school spirit -- but when you see these young women giving their all like this..." Xander said while checking out a girl named Amber, an attractive, agile girl, her feet on two chairs and slides down into an extra low split.
"...Oooh, stretchy. Where was I?" Xander continued mesmerized by the stretchy cheerleaders
"You were pretending that seeing scantily-clad girls in revealing postures was a spiritual experience." Willow answered
"What do you mean, pretending?" Xander said as he pulls out an I.D. bracelet and looks at kayla. "Oh, hey. Here's a little good luck thing for the tryouts...well it would be if you was trying out which I thought you was"
"What is this?" Kayla asked charmed at the same time Willow did but looked less charmed
Kayla takes the bracelet, puts it on. "This is so sweet! "Yours always..." she read off the bracelet
"That was on there when I got it. Really. They all said that." He told her
Willow looked away in jealousy
Cordelia in a cheerleader outfit, moves up, watches Amber stand on one leg and hold the other straight up in the air.
"Just look at Amber. Who does she think she is, a Laker Girl?" Cordelia said walking toward the four
"I heard she turned them down." Willow replied
A senior cheerleader moves to the judge's table with two other senior cheerleaders.
"Let's begin with... Amber Grove. If you're not auditioning move off the floor." The senior cheerlead read from a list
Xander, Willow, Buffy, Kayla, Cordelia move back. Willow spots Amy madison in a cheerleader outfit
"Hi Amy."
"Hi." Amy said walking closer
"I didn't know you wanted to be a cheerleader. You lost a lot of weight." Willow told her
"Had to." Amy replied
"Do you know Buffy and Kayla" Willow asked
"Hi." Amy greeted the twins .
"Hi" the twins said in unison
"Oh how I hate this, let me count the ways." Amy told them
Buffy smiles, warming to Amy's honesty.
They watch Amber's routine, she's really good.
"She trained with Benson -- he's the best coach money can buy." Amy informed them, looking at buffy
"They have cheerleading coaches?" Buffy questioned
