"Hi mom" I said as mom let go of her suitcase and imbraced me in a warm hug.

My mom picks up her luggage and sighs sitting beside the warm fire.

"So how was the trip?" I ask and she laughs to herself.

"Horrendous" said chuckling. "They send me london. And I was forced to live with your aunt." She said and I laughed. My aunt was this young rebellious woman at night and a full on formal catholic at day.

"I had to go to church a 6 am every morning" she said rubbing her face.

"Its better than michael. Michael nearly broke my foot again" I said handing her a tea and sipping on my own one.

"That doesnt surprise me at all honey" she said raising her eyebrow and sipping the warm liquid.

"Now." My mom said putting down her steaming cup of tea and holding my hands in hers. "Christmas" she said and I rolled my eyes giggling.

"Are we going to nanas this year?" I ask and she laughs nodding.

"Michael said his friends are coming" she said rolling her eyes and I laugh.

"They're cool....you know when they are not try to play soccer in the corridor" I said scratching the back of my neck.

"Shhh" she said putting her finger on my lips. "They might hear you"
