You stood there wide eyed looking at Bucky as he looked back at you with a similar expression.

You felt as if the tight dress was suffocating you.

You wished it had.

"Uh hi Eleanor."he finally spoke after an eternity.

He didn't dare look you anywhere but in the eye.

"Bucky." You breathily gasped in a whisper.

"Nice to see you...interesting to see you...surprised to see you...here." He fumbled of his words.

That wasn't a good sign.

"Uh yes. Nice to see you here as well."

You both silently looked at each other.

You opened your mouth but was cut off.

"I won't tell him." He shocked you.

Steven was his best friend, you sort of expected him to tell him.

"It's something you should tell him."

"He won't want to be with me. You know that."

He shook his head,"He's crazy about you. He may not agree with it but he'll look past it. You know that."

"Maybe I should wait."

"I think you've waited long enough. You don't want him to find out another way."

You sighed,"You're right. Thanks Buck."

He tipped his hat before saying he had to go and left.

After you got your belongings you rushed out of the club as fast as you could.

You headed down the street as the brisk air breezed past you.

You had to tell Steve, Bucky was right.

But maybe you didn't have to. You'll have enough money saved up soon and you can quit. Steve doesn't even have to know.

He wouldn't want to be with you if he did.

You use your body and looks for money and business. That isn't exactly a respectable profession.

You continued to walk home and go back and forth between talking to Steve about your job or staying quiet.

The cons outweighed the pros it seemed.

You were settled on not telling Steve by the time you reached your house.

You hoped Bucky wouldn't let it slip out.

The rest of the day went slowly and you became more anxious for your date with Steve tomorrow.

Luckily you were off tomorrow so you wouldn't have to lie if Steve asked you what you did all day.

It grew late and you went to sleep.

The next day you slept in enjoying not having to work.

You made breakfast and watched television before doing chores and running errands to pass the time.

Soon enough it was seven o'clock and you were getting ready.

This was you and Steve's first date as a couple.

You were nervous he'd change his mind.

You however wanted nothing more than to be with him.

You slipped into a pretty dress that showed off your figure but not like the ones you wore to work.

You applied light make up and slipped on some heels before hearing the door bell.

You exited the room and headed for the door.

You opened it to see Steve in a dress shirt and dress pants.

He had flowers in his hand.

Beautiful classic red roses.

"I know they're your favorite." He nervously spoke.

You smiled and took the flowers kissing him on the cheek.

"They're perfect Steven, thank you."

He gave a nod before you invited him in and dismissed yourself to put the flowers in a vase.

You grabbed your bag and turned to face Steve who was awkwardly standing in the middle of the room.

You placed a hand on his shoulder,"You okay?"

He nodded and gave an unsure smile.

You smiled back and took his hand leading him out the door.

"So, where are we off to?"

He finally genuinely smiled,"it's a secret beautiful."

You blushed and stayed silent.

You walked and talked for a few blocks until Steven stopped in front of this restaurant.

The restaurant was nice.

The kind you'd have to make a reservation for.

The kind that took money neither Steve or you had.

He turned to open the door for you but you caught his arm.

"Steven, are you sure this is okay? We could go somewhere....cheaper."

He fought a smile,"cmon."

He took your hand and led you through the large glass doors.

The pretty blonde hostess showed you to your table.

Come to realize all the waitresses were pretty. Like really pretty.

It made you self conscious.

You began to wonder why Steve really wanted to come here.

You nervously fidgeted around 'fixing' your outfit as the stunning waitress took your order.

Once she disappeared Steve focused on you.

"Elle?" He spoke.

Your eyes stopped wandering around the room and focused on him.

"Are you alright?"

You gave a nod.

"You look...uncomfortable."

You fought a smile,"thats definitely the feeling."

"What's wrong?"

"What do you think of the waitresses?"

He shrugged,"I don't know what you mean?"

"Are they pretty?"

He sighed,"You shouldn't be self conscious Elle. So what if they're pretty? You're a million times prettier. And it's you that I wanted to come here for. I wanted to impress you."

You nearly rolled your eyes.
"You don't need to impress me Steven. We couldn't stayed in and watched a movie and talked and I would've been just as happy."

He sighed and smiled,"man I wish I would've known."

You flashed a smile. "Well it's not too late."

"We already ordered." He informed.

You shrugged,"So?"

He smiled and stood up taking your hand.

You looked behind you to see your waitress coming with your food.

"Run!" You shouted.

You and Steven ran through the restaurant, out the door and down the street in a fit of giggles.

You stopped to catch your breath.

Steve was still laughing once you recovered.

He placed a hand on your upper arm gaining your attention.

He leaned in unsure and placed a kiss to your cheek.

"Just kiss me Steven."you blurted.

He didn't miss a beat as his lips crashed onto yours.
