Part 19 , Due date !!!!!.

2 weeks later:::
Today was Spencer's due date , her and toby were downstairs talking and eating breakfast when the girls came , they promised spencer they would be with her and toby
" hey Spence so how do you feel " aria says
" like a hippo ,  but no sign of her moving " spencer says
The girls laugh at her sarky comment and carry on talking
" you girls want coffee " spencer says getting up off the stool
" obviously but I'll make it you relax " Emily says
" no ill make it , you know me by now I hate not doing something " spencer says
" ok " Emily says
Spencer boils the kettle and makes the coffees
" so is everything ready for the hospital" Alison says
" yep everything's ready for our little princess " toby says smiling at them
They smile back and go and sit on the couch
Spencer and toby go over too
" so what are you gonna do if she doesn't come today" Hanna says
"The doctors always say if your late to go in for a scan so if she doesn't come , then that's the next step " spencer says
" oh " Hanna says
The girls and toby though that they would do something different so they put some music on and danced around the living room to try and move the baby along , then they played games for hours each throwing a hissy fit if they lost ..
A few days later::::://
Spencer was 6 days overdue and was getting worried why the baby wasn't moving...
Thursday::Spencer and toby woke up , had breakfast and spencer had a bath to try and pass time and gets dressed
" hey" spencer says waddling over to toby
" hey babe " toby says as they both sit on the couch
"Oh tobes why isn't she moving I'm so worried and uncomfortable " spencer says stroking her stomach
"Listen Spence don't worry , everything's fine I think that she loves it in there that much that she just doesn't want to come out she's still kicking too , she's being a lazy monkey, and I know your uncomfortable if I could take it away you know I would angel " toby says putting his hand on top of Spencer's
" your right , hey pleaseee can we watch 2 broke girls pleaseee " spencer says ( 2 broke girls was her fave tv show )
" oh ok , you and that darn tv show your obsessed " toby says getting up to put the disc in the player and sitting back down next to spencer laughing at her
" but keep an eye on the time the appointments at 12 " spencer says
" yes mam " he says giggling and Lying back on the couch ....
A couple of hours later::::
It had just turned 12 o clock and spencer and toby had gone into the doctors room for spencer to be induced
The doctor gave them a run through of what was going to happen
" hello mr and mrs cavanaugh it's lovely to see you again "the midwife says shaking their hands
"So spencer 6 days late eh , you've made her that happy in there that she doesn't want to come out " the midwife says laughing
" that's exactly what toby said " spencer says laughing
"Well Iv seen worse the other day a lady came in that was 3 weeks over due " the midwife says
" gosh , how did she last that long " spencer says
" I don't know she had me puzzled , but anyway let's get on with it shall we " the midwife says
She does a quick ultrasound to check everything's ok
" well she's perfectly  fine mrs cavanaugh so I'll go and get the things I need and be right back " the midwife says
" thank god shes ok " spencer says
" see I told you she was ok " Toby says giving her a kiss
" yeah yeah smart ass " spencer says giggling at him
The doctor comes back in with the things she need to induce spencer and was about to start the process  when something happens.......
"I think my water just broke " spencer says looking happy but scared down at the floor
The midwife walks over to her and has a look
"Ok ,it looks like it has , I'll go and get a wheel chair and we'll wheel you to the birthing unit " the midwife says
" I'm fine to walk I haven't had any contractions yet " spencer says
" ok well you and toby go down and I'll come to check on you in a little while  " the midwife says
" ok thank you " toby says taking his wife's hand and walking out of the room
"Were having our little girl tobes "  " spencer says happily waddling next to him
" We are " toby says happily walking next to spencer
Spencer  and toby go to the birthing unit , check in and get showed to their room , which was empty but had another bed at the other side of the room ...
Later that day::::::///
Spencer had been in labour for 6 hours , the last check the doctor did spencer was only 5 centimetres dilated, she hated the contractions but just kept telling herself that it was all going to be worth it when she had her daughter in her arms
Toby had called her parents and Melissa and then the girls and they had arrived about an hour after they were put on the birthing unit .....
" babe I'm going to nip home and get the bag and nappies ok I won't be long " toby says kissing her
" ok love you " spencer says
" love you too " toby says leaving the room
All the girls were waiting outside and her parents had come into the room for a while and then the girls
" just think in a few hours your going to be mom " Emily says
" I know " spencer says smiling
" you know out of all of us I though it would be Hanna that got preggers first " aria says giggling
" hey " Hanna says
" true I did too " alison says
" you are for it " Hanna says laughing
As she does another women gets wheeled into the room by her husband and goes over to the other bed ,the midwife comes in and asks the girls to leave whilst they check spencer
" your still only 6 centimetres mrs cavanaugh I'm sorry " the midwife says
" ok thank you " spencer says miserably
She then gets talking to the woman next door
" so is it your first " she asks
" yea what about you " spencer says
" no my 3rd " she says
" oh wow " spencer says
" yea it gets easier when you know what to expect , so is it a boy or girl" she asks
" girl ,you " spencer says
" my 3rd girl " the woman says
They carry on talking for a while and
Toby comes back with the baby's things and some ice chips for spencer
" who are they " toby whispers
" the Walters their really nice we were talking earlier " spencer says
" oh that's nice " toby says
A few hours later it was 10 o clock and there was still no sign
It was probably going to be the next day before she was born......
