It's been about two weeks since Dan and Phil discussed their relationship and the only thing that's been on Dan's mind is Phil. He can't help but to question what the hell the two actually are and god does he want to ask. He knows Phil would be fine with them dating, hell Phil even said it himself, but Dan just can't build up the courage. He's so afraid of what the world would think, but god does Phil make him forget it all. Phil takes away his worries, makes him feel special. If Dan could just hold on to him and never let him go you can bet your ass he would.
Dan ruffles his hair before bringing his arm back down to wrap around his knees. He'd just woken up about five minutes ago and he's debating with himself about laying back down. He decides against it and let's out an extremely loud sigh. Standing from his bed, back and ankles cracking as he stretches, he walks to his door hesitating when his hand reaches for the knob. Every time it's the same, he gathers courage to talk to Phil and right as he reaches the only thing barricading the too he hesitates which then usually leads to a mental argument in which he opens the door to be met face to face with Phil himself. But for some reason this time was different, he opens his bedroom door but wasn't met with Phil, just an empty hall. Phils door stands open and his room appears empty.
Dan just sluggishly makes his way down to the kitchen where he sees a nervous Phil. He paces back and forth, a hand pressed to his mouth, lost in thought and concentration.
"Good morning Phil, what's wrong?" Dan questions stepping through the sliding door. Phil's face lights up when he notices the younger boy.
"Uh, morning Dan. Nothing's wrong, I've just been thinking about a lot of things." He smiles rubbing the back of his neck.
"Ohh?" Dan's face twists into a look of confusion.
"Don't worry, I have a surprise for you." Phil grabs Dan's hand leading him to the dinning table which is set up with all sorts of breakfast foods. Dan had never seen Phil put so much effort into anything.
"Woah, this must have taken ages! How early did you wake up?!" Dan glances over the table, stunned at the many pastries scattered among the drinks and plates of eggs, pancakes, and bacon.
"It wasn't a bother. I wanted to do something special for you. I may have been up since about 4 this morning..." Phil tangles his fingers with Dan's which causes Dan to become rather flustered.
"Phillll you must be exhausted!"
"It okay, I'm fine." He smiles at Dan and rest his head upon the taller boys shoulder. Dan only shakes his head.
"Are you sure you don't want to sleep?"
"No, I'd rather spend my time with you. Besides I can sleep later, right now we have a breakfast to eat." Phil chuckles and pulls a seat out for Dan to sit down in. He picks up a fork and digs it into a pancake, taking a ridiculously large bite.
"So I was thinking," Dan began as he swallows his mouthful of food, Phil glances up from his plate raising his eyebrows, "it's been awhile since we talked about our-"
"Relationship?" Phil blurts, cutting Dan off mid sentence, "Actually that's been on my mind too."
"Oh, really?" Dan's voice sounds small and he stares at his lap avoiding eye contact. Phil reaches his arm up and pulls Dan's chin up with his fingers.
"I was going to ask you if you'd like to be my boyfriend, or if you'd let me be your boyfriend rather. I wasn't sure when exactly you'd be ready." A slight blush makes it's way to Phil's cheeks, "but we have always been so close and a lot has happened recently with our relationship so I thought I'd ask if you'd like to make our friendship something more." Dan let's out a sigh of relief and smiles before nodding his head.
"Id love that. For a second I thought you were going to say you didn't like me that way or something." Dan looks to the side.
"Yeah of course because I totally don't find a sexual attraction to the guy I've liked for an extremely long time and had sex with. No, of course not." Phil rolls his eyes, a habit he picked up from Dan, smiling at his sarcastic remark while Dan only laughs and punches Phil.
"Shut the fuck up ya twit." Dan leans over and plants a kiss on Phil's cheek. "So there's a few parties we've been invited to this week, are we attending?"
"Yeah sure, we haven't seen a lot of people recently so it might be best that we show our faces before our friends start to think we've died." Dan rolls his eyes.
"I'm going out to buy some new clothes for the parties, come if you'd like." Dan stands from the table planting a kiss atop Phil's head, "Thanks for the breakfast babe, it was really good."
"I'm glad you thought so because my nut was in there." Dans eyes grew wide and he punches Phil in the arm. Phil laughs histarically.
"Kidding! That's for later." He catches his breath and winks at his younger companion. "Let's go shopping, before you beat the shit out of me."
A/N:
I'm so sorry it took me so long to update. These past two months have been crazy hectic. No worries, I'm working on the updates for this book. Also sorry if this chapter is rather shitty, it's more or less just a filler kind of. I don't want to rush into the story idea I have planned only because I don't want the story to be too short. Anywho Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, happy holidays to all! I love you guys so much, thank you for the support, it truly does mean a lot.
