Chapter 37

{Hunter's POV}
When we finally got to the airport Ryley was awake, not talking, but awake. I looked over and saw a few tears stream down her cheeks. She's trying to be strong but I'm here for her. She can cry as much as she needs to. I held her hand gently and kissed it.
Ryley looked over and smiled.

We walked through security and through the area where you go out for the plane.
We boarded the plane and had to go to our seats.
Ryley is all alone and Mom is sitting next to me.
I can see that Ryley was totally panicking because she was in the middle of two strangers. I looked over to mom.
"Mom.. Ryley needs me. Trade seats please mama?"
She smiled
"You're such a gentleman, of course."
"Babe" I whispered and then patted the seat that mom was moving out of.
Ryley came over and cuddled up to me.
"I'm so sorry. I'm a mess"
"My mess" I kissed her forehead.
"I love you Hunter" Ryley held my hand and then slowly dozed off.

{Ryley's POV}
I woke up around 10 mins later. For the rest of the plane ride I was basically flirting with Hunter and talking to him.
When I look at him everything, every problem just disappears. He's the best distraction.

When we finally got off the plane I was so happy. We went through everything again and then headed outside. I looked around.
My dad is here.
I looked over at Hunter and instantly broke.
I jumped in his arms and just embraced him.
"Do you want me to come with you babe?"
"Yeah" I held his hand hauling him towards my dad.
Me and Hunter got in the back and my Dad was in the front.
Surprisingly not drinking.
"How was tour Darling?" Jonas asked.
"Fine" I responded.
Hunter looked at me and smiled. I smiled back.
The whole ride was silence. Dad knew I was mad at him so he didn't even try.
When we got home I ran into the house and found mom and jumped on her, starting to cry.
"Mom" I looked at her and then she turned to face dad.
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE"
Dad put his hands up and left.
Hunter walked over and kissed my cheek.
"I'm going to go now babe. Text me okay?"
"Okay" I got off of mom and wrapped my legs around Hunter. He smiled and put me down.
I don't want Hunter to go. I need him right now but I feel like I'm being so clingy and emotional so I have to give him some of his own time.
Hunter walked through the door. I instantly pulled my phone out.
R-I Miss you😕
I heard Hunter was right outside the door.
He laughed a little bit and then the door opened.
"Do you want me to stay" He laughed as I nodded my head smiling.
"But Ry-" My mom started but I cut her off.
"Mom. Tomorrow okay? I need some time with my favourite person in the world"I looked at Hunter and smiled.
"Awe, I didn't know Ashton was here" Hunter joked.
I laughed and looked at mom apologetically.
"Okay darling" Mom sat back down on the couch holding her stomach.
My eyes got watery again. Hunter saw and kissed my cheek.
"Let's head to your room cupcake"
Hunter took my hand and led me to my room gently closing the door once we got in.
Hunter flopped on the bed and I joined him, cuddling under the blankets.
"Ryley, it's not fair. You shouldn't have to go through this"
I stayed silent.
"You have never done anything bad to anyone and you get rewarded with this. My gosh. It shouldn't be like this. In a perfect world it wouldn't"
"I know. But this isn't a fairytale. This is real life" I sighed.
Hunter didn't speak after that.
We just laid there in silence.
"Hunter. Would you ever date a fan?"
"Yeah I guess I mean, I went for you" He smiled teasing me.
"Oh okay" I frowned.
"But-"
"But what Hunter!?" I turned back on to him.
"But, I need you"
Wow, I feel like a jerk.
I turned around and looked at him.
"You deserve better then me"
Hunter leaned in so that our noses were touching and said.
"You are my fairytale"
I blushed a little and then Hunter leaned in and gently kissed me.
After about a minute of kissing I pulled away and kissed his forehead.
"So what's on your mind Hunter?" I asked holding his hand.
"You"
"No, I mean what's REALLY on your mind?"
"I'm not kidding. All that's on my mind is you"
"Why?" I looked down at our hands.
"Because Ryley. You're my everything. When something happens that brings you down.. it hurts me too"
"Hunter. I think you should leave" A tear streamed down my cheek.
"Baby don't cry" He wiped away my tear" Why?"
"Hunter do you not get it? Im making you sad. I'm putting all of my pain on you. I can't stand it. You're so important to me. I'm like a bomb and you're trying to disengage me but you can't. I'm just always going to explode and take you out with me"
"Ryley-" I cut him off.
"You- you need to leave before I explode"
Hunter got up and looked back at me and sighed.
"I love you" Hunter said walking away.
"I love you more"
I couldn't look at him. I wouldn't. Because I knew if I did, I would go running for him.
A few minutes later my mom came up.
"Is everything okay with Hunter? I just saw him leave"
"Mom. Do we have any appointments today?" Since it is really early like around 5ish maybe
"Yes my doll. We have to go meet with lawyers."
I looked at my hand. Empty. No Hunter.
"Everything's not okay with Hunter.. I told him to leave because, he's hurting because of me. And now I just hurt him even more"
Mom looked at me.
"Just give him a day darling"
"But mom, you don't understand. I can't be with him anymore"
I started full on sobbing.
"Awe darling. Go tell him okay? I'll be right here when you come back"
I stood up and walked out of my room and out the front door.
I walked to Hunter's house and saw him on his front porch, hands on his head, eyes closed.
I ran over to him. I couldn't help myself. I curled myself around him, knocking us both over from sitting to laying down. Hunter embraced me and laid his head on my chest.
Oh god. What am I doing? Im supposed to be breaking up with him.
I can't. Not right now.
As we laid there, the whole world stopped. Everything around us slowed down, the only thing I could hear was Hunter's warm breath. It hurts me to see him like this. So, frustrated. Because of me...
We laid there for awhile, maybe about an hour, just me trying to calm Hunter down.
Once he was calmed down a little bit I walked him inside and up to his room. I laid down with him for a few minutes just trying to enjoy this, and then I got up and left.

I walked into my house, seeing my mom on the couch with a curios look on her face.
"I couldn't do it"
