{Ryley's POV} I sat down next to mom silently. "Mom, I can't let him go through all this because of me. I mean, he has no father, I still have mine." "Darling did you tell Hunter about-" I cut her off. "No. I can't. Hunter would get so mad at him" "Well, it's good that you have a boy that can help darling" I smiled. "I guess, So do you know what the appointment is about?" "That's what I was meaning to talk to you about. Your Father is fighting for custody of you. We have to organize a couple other appointments and a dinner between you and Jonas today to see what is going to happen because you get a choice at this age." I frowned. "When's the appointment?" "Actually, in a few hours, at around 8AM." I frowned even more. "But mom what about school. Exams are coming up and yes, its more lenient because im online now but still " "Darling, you are going to have to start forming your school around your schedule from now on." I didn't answer. I still haven't started studying yet and its already the end of April. I just walked up into my bedroom and got straight in the shower. I need to just stop thinking for a while. I couldn't though, I couldn't stop thinking. I ended up on the shower floor crying my eyes out, hoping Hunter would text me but nope, my phone is still dry. (Get it? She's in the shower soaking wet and her phone is dry?😂Sorry) *Skip the shower* I was just laying there, on my bed just waiting for something to happen that doesn't evolve around my life. Everything is just too much you know? I need Hunter but I don't want him to have to deal with this all over again, but worse. All of a sudden my phone chimed.
*Text message from Hailey*
"Ryley. I'm coming over, I need to talk" I just left it be and a few mins later Hailey walked into my room. "Hey gurl. How are you doing?" I smiled. "Not so good. My mom got offered a job in Canada so.... we are moving" I looked at her in shock. "You're kidding me?" "I wish I was" "I have to break up with Hunter but I can't, the baby died and my dads leaving and now this. Gosh, what is happening to me?" I sighed. "Ryley, Im sad too but why don't we embrace the few days we have left. Let's go shopping bestie" I smiled. "We have like 2 hours so let's go" Iwalked into my closet to get changed out of my pjs.
Once we arrived at the mall I was already excited. I can finally get some shopping done. Me and Hailey walked around for a bit and bought a whole bunch of stuff. We were walking into H&M when we saw Hunter. I can tell that when I break up with him, we are both going to be heart broken. I ran as fast as I could into the store and jumped on Hunter. When Hunter finally realized it was me he wrapped his arms around me and started laughing. "Hunter I'm so sorry, I love you so much but-but I can't-" I couldn't speak anymore. My throat got clogged up, with fear and so much more. Despair? Sadness? I jumped down. "You can't what?" Hunter stopped laughing and smiling and frowned. "I um-" I didn't know what to say. All of a sudden Hailey spoke up. "She loves you but she can't let you see your surprise gifts. We have them here" I looked at Hailey and smiled. Hunter giggled. "Don't worry Cupcake, I won't peek" He smiled
All of a sudden, Something snapped, that gorgeous smile, his perfect laugh, how he looked at me. Just him. He's so perfect. I can't let him give up on the tour because I'm going through some hard stuff. And I wouldn't be able to even look at him if I took his perfect away, even just a small piece of it. "Hunter. I can't do this anymore. We need to break up" A tear started to form but I held everything in. I've been crying too much lately. Hunter dropped his bags. "What? Why?" I could tell he was trying to be strong too. "I'll be over here okay?" Hailey smiled and patted my shoulder.
Once she left I continued. First I took Hunters hand. "Because......because I'm dragging you down okay? Like the whole tour thing. I took that away from you. And, also it hurts me to not be able to be honest with you about something. I'm so sorry Hunter" I started to walk away. Our hands slowly slipped apart. My hand was empty yet again. "I hope you know you're just hurting me more" Hunter yelled out, now that I was across the store. I could hear the sadness in his voice. "I love you Hunter Rowland" "And, I love you Ryley Rose. You don't have to go," his voice got a little quieter,"Please don't go"
I couldn't look back. I just continued walking over to Hailey. Hailey hugged me. "Starbucks?" I nodded my head. I guess I just continue on. It will hurt but, I have to. *Skip to when Ryley got home and Hailey was staying over for the night*
We were laying on my bed when I get a notification that Hunter tweeted. I turned on my phone and saw this:

I frowned when I saw it. Then I looked at his profile pic. He changed it from us to him. I sat there in disbelief. "I hate myself" I looked over at Hailey" I broke his heart and mine along with it" I frowned The room was silent. Not a word. Hailey didn't say a word.
Oh no!! I forgot all about the appointment!! "Hailey!! I forgot about my appointment!!"I jumped up. "How long until u need to be there?" "15 minutes" "Well come on then!!"
We ran outside and caught mom just in time. I hopped in the car and drove off with mom in silence.
