Chapter 8
The Hurtful Past...
It was their second day in Tofuland Paulette and Michelle were on their room talking
about what happened yesterday,
Michelle: "Paulette why did your boyfriend and you break up?"
Paulette: "It's complicated, I just gave him the freedom he wanted I mean waiting for me to come
back home I feel it can be very tiring for him, besides I don't believe in long distance relationships." She gets up and starts looking for her clothes. "Oh that's right I'm going to visit my family again and they said they wanted to meet you."
Michelle: "ME?"
Paulette: "Yeah, they've wanted to meet the Chosen One from a long time"
Michelle: "Meet me?" she thought "Sure"
Michelle and Paulette were on their way to Paulette's house, Tofuland wasn't at all
like the cute café, the streets were full of sale's men selling whatever they wanted, a
lot of people in the streets with nothing to eat and bare dressed. Michelle then knew
that Tofuland wasn't some paradise it had its dark side, it was a poor city. And from
her experience yesterday it made sense.
Paulette: "Here we are" Paulette points at a mansion. The front gates were harbor blue the house had two to three floors it was painted harbor blue like the gates a more light color blue and some of the front decorations were white. The landscape and garden were fully blossomed and in the middle of the front they had a fountain.
Michelle: "This totally kicks out Tofuland's image I had before" she said to herself "Paulette you're rich"
Paulette: "I'm not, my parents are" she said "Come in" the house had an European style with antique chandlers.
Michelle is more amazed by the inside of the house it was exactly like you see in the
movies with the polished floor, the high class paintings, the beautiful flowers, the big
center stairs.
Paulette's mother: "Michelle, Hello it's so nice to meet you. I'm Paulette's mother Lorelai"
Michelle: "Hi, nice to meet you too" she said politely "Wow this is just like seeing Paulette in the future they're identical" she thought
Lorelai: "Ben, come meet Michelle" she called the name looking at the staircase. As Ben, Paulette's little brother comes down to greet her. He looked like a twelve-year old boy with the same dorky glasses as Paulette.
Ben: "So this is her"
Michelle: "Hey how ya doin'?" she said
Ben: "Not so good since you are in my house" he said giving her a hateful face
Lorelai: "Ben do not talk to Michelle that way!"
Ben: "But it was-"
Lorelai: "It was not!"
Ben: "Whatever" he said leaving upstairs
Michelle, Paulette and Lorelai went to the living room to drink high-class tea.
Michelle: "Wow, this is exactly like when I went to Laura's house" she said talking about the high-class tools and all.
Lorelai: "I'm sorry about Ben's rudeness" she apologized with an agonizing face
