I wake up to the sound of banging on my door, before it’s turned opened, and a man steps inside.

“Get up.” The guard commands me.

I step out of bed and the coldness of the room takes over me.

“Why?” I ask.

“Breakfast is ready.”

“I’ve been eating in my room.”

“This is not some hotel, you eat with the rest of the patients."

I make my way down the hall wall until I enter the eating room. Most of the other patients are already seated. I walk to a table in the corner of the room where no one is seated. Being alone is better than being with these people.

The same guard returns but this time with a tray of food with him. He places it down in front of me before walking away. An apple and two pieces of bread lay on the plate, but yet I’m not hungry.

It’s not like they will make me eat.

It’s not like they even care.

My mind begins to wander off, how much longer will I be in here?

When will they determine if I am ‘better’ or not?

“Eat.”

A voice speaks interrupting my thoughts.

I turn my head as I see Luke taking a seat across from me.

“Not hungry.” I mumble.

“Come on, I know you are.”

“I’m not.”

“I know the foods not the best here bu-..”

“I said I’m not hungry.”

“Well it’s my job to make sure that you eat, so I’m not leaving until you do so.”

So that’s why he came over here.

“Well, I guess you will be here for a while then.” I fire back.
