“I don’t know I just don’t like the taste of them, no one does.”
“I do.”
“I know.” Luke smiles.
“Then why keep buying them?”
“They come in a big pack; I never like to just throw them out.”
“Oh.”
“Well you’re going to turn into a onion if you don’t stop eating all these chips.” Luke chuckles.
“I wouldn’t mind.”
"You wouldn’t mind if you turned into a giant onion?”
“Nope, I think it would be fun.”
“But you’d get eaten grace.”
“You said it yourself, no one likes them.”
“You know what I mean.”
“I do?”
"You do."
“Are you happy your brother came?” Luke changes the subject.
“Fuck no.”
“Why?”
“He is a monster.”
“His intentions seem good.”
“He is only trying to fix his guilt.”
“I can tell that he loves you.”
Luke and I finsh talking at the gray circle table in the corner of the main room after we finish our small yet filling lunch. Each day slowly becomes more normal, I have the same despairing routine everyday with only the lunch break to look forward to, when I see Luke. He is the only person I voluntarily speak to. The only one who seems to understand.
“He probable just came to see if I had really turned crazy or not.”
“Well if that’s the case, then you showed him that you’re not crazy.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
