Oka Ruto x Flame Demon:

Over the next week, Oka had been wanting to see the flame demon again. She had figured out it was the blood that had helped her get to the demon realm. She had tried without the blood with no success. She hadn't told her club members about the encounter, as they probably wouldn't believe her.

One night after club activities, Oka was alone in the occult club room. She had the knife in her hand, trying to figure out a way to make the knife work without hurting anyone else. She really wanted to see the flame demon again, even if she had to hurt herself. She rolled down one of her sleeves, revealing a pale arm. She took a deep breath before dragging the ritual knife across her arm. She wiped the blade across her arm, collecting the blood from the cut she'd made. Once she was sure she had enough blood on the knife, she pulled up her sleeve and inserted the knife back into the skull, teleporting her back to the demon world.

"Welcome back, Mortal." She was immediately greeted by the flame demon.
"Hi Flame Demon." She smiled. The flame demon gave her a hug, making sure not to accidentally burn her.
"What brings you here?" He asked, looking down at her.
"I came to see you." She replied with as much confidence as she could. The flame demon appeared flustered by Oka's comment, making a small smirk appear on her face.
"Y-you did?" He stuttered. He was speechless. Someone actually wanted to spend time with him? "H-how?" Oka didn't answer that question. She looked at her arm where she'd cut herself for a brief moment before shrugging her shoulders. A patch of blood had started to appear on her sleeve in the place where she had cut. He grabbed that arm and held it out, inspecting the blood stain. He pulled down the sleeve angrily, revealing a large, bloody wound. "Explain." He demanded, tightening his grip on her arm, making her gasp in pain.
"I... umm..." She stuttered, looking down and blushing.
"Is this how you came to see me?" He snapped. She nodded her head weakly. He sighed and let go of her arm. "Mortal..." He muttered, disappointedly. 'Mortal' had become Oka's nickname to the flame demon, even though he knew her real name. "You don't have to hurt yourself to get blood to come here." He scolded. She looked down as she pulled the sleeve back over the cut.
"I-I didn't want to hurt anyone else..." She said, upset he was mad at her for wanting to see him. He sighed again.
"I'm sorry I got mad at you." He said, placing a kiss on her forehead and putting his arms around her. She put her arms around him and let out a sob as tears started falling down her face. He noticed this immediately. "Why are you crying?"
"I... I don't know." She cried, the tears being absorbed into the demon's clothes. He held her tighter until she stopped crying. This girl had a special place in the heart he thought was stone cold, and it physically hurt to see her cry.

The next day, Oka was walking to school when she tripped over and landed on the floor. She sighed, looking up and seeing a boy offering his hand to help her up. He had dark hair and grey eyes. She put her hand in his and he pulled her up.
"Are you ok?" He asked, concerned. She nodded her head and picked up her bag. "Wait... you're Oka Ruto, right?" She nodded her head confused, how did he know her name? "We're in the same class. My name's Taro Yamada." He introduced himself, smiling. She smiled as she remembered him. "Would you like to walk with me?" He offered. She nodded her head shyly as they both headed to school, followed by a certain yandere.

That evening, Oka stood in the occult club room alone. She faced the skull away from the door. In her hand was the knife, which she was studying. She wanted to find a way to make it work without the need to hurt herself or others. Her thoughts were interrupted by the door slamming shut behind her. She dropped the ritual knife and spun around to see Ayano Aishi stood in front of the door holding a knife. She charged at Oka, knocking the girl down and straddling her. Oka tried to scream, which was muffled by Ayano's hand covering her mouth. The knife was held up against her neck.
"Scream and I won't hesitate to kill you." Ayano growled. Oka nodded her head to signal she understood. Ayano smirked. She got off Oka and pulled her into the centre of the pentagram on the floor by her feet. Oka was too scared to struggle or fight back. Ayano restrained her again before she could get up and run for help.
"W-what do you want from me?" Oka stuttered, petrified of Ayano. She was met with a sinister laugh.
"I saw you speaking to my senpai, so you have to pay the price." She giggled, her laughter was hostile, with hate in every sound. She pulled off one of Oka's sleeves and tied it around her mouth to muffle any scream of pain Oka would make. She raised the knife above her head, ready to bring it down on her chest. Before she could, every candle exploded around the pair into a bright flame. The rest of the lights blew up, throwing the room into darkness except for the candles. Both girls looked around as a booming voice could be heard through the room.
"Stay away from her!" Oka recognised the voice immediately as the voice of the flame demon. Ayano put down the knife a bit, her body shaking slightly. The skulls eyes lit up brightly before the flame demon appeared beside it. "If I see you attempting to harm Oka again, I won't hesitate to kill you." He said, using Ayano's threat against her. Ayano stood up and sprinted out of the occult club, shaking in fear. Oka quickly untied the sleeve from her mouth and put it back on her arm.

The demon and Oka remained sat on the floor of the occult club room, with the flame demon holding Oka in a hug. She was crying, still shaking from her ordeal while the demon hugged her tight, stroking her hair and trying not to burn her.
"I'm so, so sorry." He said, fuelled with guilt that he was unable to protect Oka from being tackled by Ayano. Even though he had prevented her from killing Oka, he still felt bad that she had been traumatised. "I should've made sure she didn't come near you."
"Don't be sorry." She murmured softly. He hugged her tighter for a moment, never wanting to let her go. He made a move and kissed her on the lips passionately. She was surprised, but kissed back.
"I love you, Mortal."
