179: A Forbidden Love

Sota Yuki x Hayato Haruki:

Sota and Hayato had grown up together. They were best friends, but both wanted something more. They both wanted each other to be their boyfriend, but they didn't know about the others feelings. They mostly kept them under wraps, until they decided to just get it out in the open.

Sota and Hayato met up under one of the trees outside the front of the school building before class one day. They both had the same confession to make, but neither of them knew that.
"Ok... let's just say it at the same time." Hayato suggested, sensing how nervous Sota was feeling and how nervous he was about his own confession. "3... 2... 1..."
"I love you." They both said in near unison. They stood in silent shock, staring at each other. Hayato made the next move, taking hold of Sota's hands.
"Why don't we be together?" He suggested. Sota nodded his head, blushing intensely. They both giggled a little awkwardly. He gently placed his lips on Hayato's, and they both kissed passionately. They could feel some students staring at them, but they didn't care.
"Come on, we have school." Sota murmured, breaking out of the kiss. Hayato sighed a little, but agreed. They walked back into the school building together holding hands.

They walked into the courtyard, and saw their friends coldly staring at them. They didn't care at first.
"Hey, gay faggots." Haruto called to them, making the others laugh. They looked over with a frown.
"Go find girlfriend's, you failures!" Sora laughed at them. The group of girls looked at them, also laughing.
"That with ever happen!" Yui shouted to the boys, making them all laugh. "Nobody would want to date those gay freaks." Sota and Hayato decided to walk away, not wanting to listen to the insults anymore. They didn't realise they were being followed.

They reached the end of the locker room before they were both shoved to the floor. They looked up and saw their ex-friends standing over them with viscous stares.
"Gay pricks." Ryusei muttered as he and Haruto grabbed Sota's feet and pulled him away from his boyfriend while Sora and Riku restrained Hayato. They boys began to beat them up making constant insults until the warning bell for class sounded.
"See you later, weirdos." Riku laughed at them as the boys walked to their own classrooms. Hayato and Sota looked over at each other.
"You ok?" Haruto asked as he weakly held a hand out to his new boyfriend. Sota shuffled closer, taking hold of it. Both were in a pretty bad way.
"Yeah. You alright?" Sota asked. Haruto gave him a weak smile as they both stood up. They both knew this wouldn't be the last time they got attacked by homophobic students, but it didn't matter as long as they stood by each other.
