"Stay safe, Avery." Stan says, holding the door open as Harry and I walk out of the house. He passes a look towards Harry, and I can see something shadow his face before he spoke.

"I know you don't trust, Stan. You don't have to, but you need to know that she will be safe. I would never harm her, not intentionally." He says. His words sounded genuine, making me want to smile, but I force it back.

"You're right, I don't trust you." Stan says sharply. "And I also happen to know that you two have a thing going on or something, so if anything, and I mean anything at all happens to her, I swear, I will get very pissed." His eyebrows are raised as he speaks to Harry. I stand here, next to him feeling a bit awkward in this conversation.

"Nothing will happen, I promise you both." He nods to Stan then turns to me, his eyes shining down on mine.

"Okay," i smile, clearing my throat. "Let's go, shall we?"

"See you, Avery." Stan says, raising his hand in the air.

"Bye, Stan." I bid him goodbye as he shuts the door, leaving me and Harry on the porch.

"He's very protective over you." Harry says simply as we walk down the steps to his car.

"He's been my best friend for as long as I can remember, he just wants what's best for me, I guess." I say, feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket. I take it out and check it.

A message from Stan notifies itself on the lock screen. Call me if anything happens.

"What is it?" Harry asks, looking over at me.

"Oh, nothing." I smile, shake my head and stuff my phone back in my pocket. "So, what all is planned tonight?" I ask him, a teasing smile on my lips.

"Well, we will eat some amazing tortellini pasta with some delicious soda and then we can perhaps watch a movie afterwards. Would there be anything else you'd want to do?" He asks, a grin twitching at the corners of his mouth.

"No, it sounds perfect actually." I laugh. He steps in front of me and opens the car door, allowing me to get in.

"What a gentleman, thank you." I tease and he rolls his eyes, a full-on grin now on his face.

"Just get in," he says and I giggle, getting inside. The 'new car' scent is still very evident, mixed with the black ice car fresheners clipped on the air vents. He gets in on the driver's side and we both slip our seat belts on.

As he starts the car, piano music plays softly from the speakers but he quickly turns it down low, almost to where it's inaudible.

"Sorry it's so hot in here." He mumbles, turning down the heater.

"You're fine, it feels good." I say to him. He looks over at me for a second, licking his lips, before backing out of the driveway.

I didn't mean to say it like that. Or maybe I said it right, and he just took it sexually. I take in a deep breath and clench my thighs together from the thoughts running wild in my head. But with him right next to me, in this close proximity, in the same car, right here, it just makes the thoughts feel more...real.

"Can you turn the music up, please?" I ask. Hopefully it will get rid of my thoughts and the tight silence that started them. He looks over at me and nodded. I closed my eyes and listened to it.

"You like this?" The deep chords of his voice saying those words made want to pull my hair out. Why am i so turned on right now? What the hell is wrong with me.
