"Demon."

-Your POV-
We had discussed with Sans with what was going on and he was curious that I hadn't let anything leak. My heart practically shattered as the skeletons eye lit up a royal blue. I hated it, it made my hair stand up on end, the nervousness that I was feeling made Sans wince, as if unnerved. Frisk was shaking like a leaf, as if the small light that was radiating from his eye-socket made them scared.

I didn't understand.

A word that I was unfamiliar with struck me hard, timelines.

Whatever that was.

You idiot... so you really not know? You are more stupid than I thought.

What?! W-Who are you?!

That'll be said, all in the time...
Y/N...

My face went pale, I stared at the ground, unable to move from how bewildered I felt. A sudden wave to the face caught my attention soon. My head snapped up to be faced with a confused and concerned Frisk whereas Sans stood there with an unreadable expression. I took a step back and, uncharacteristicly, turned on my heel and sprinted away. Even the distant calls of my name didn't stop me.

~Timeskip~

I was walking through the snowy field when I heard a distressed sob coming from further into the canopy-topped forests.

Who would even leave the path?

The question hung in my mind so I didn't realise that I had moved onward away from the trail, away from home, away from my freedom, away from my sanity. I didn't understand who had just manipulated my thoughts into something more hellbent but I didn't protest against it either, I let the word linger in my mind.

...Sanity...

...Sanity...

...SANITY..!

The word screeched through my mind, giving me a headache. I found myself in a clearing of the forest, clutching my heads from the demonic voice and giggling that serged itself into my head. I let out a scream, however, it was futile as a hand made it's way to block my emotional action.

I was terrified.

I want rigid, full of fear, I could practically feel it drip from my eyes, but then I noticed... They're tears. This is to much! Stop!

"Greetings... Y/N..." The feminine voice almost seemed to spit my name. I slowly raised my eye-contact up until it connected with those of the pure demon...

Chara.

"C...Chara?" I said, my voice quivering, making me seem weak.
"How flattering! You remember my name!~" She spoke in a sickly sweet tone. I remained silent, to scared to let a sound emit through my blue lips.
"What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost. Well i assure you, I'm no ghost!" She continued, adding an eerie giggle at the end of her sentence, making the air around us practically stand still.
"Still nothing to say? How pathetic of you... And here I thought you would actually put up a fight against me..." Chara dramatically sighs, "Oh well. I'll make you speak..." Whilst spitting out the following words a knife was brought high above me. I clung to my knees and burried my head.

However, the impact never came...
