It's been a couple months now, and thankfully every things back on track. Tails has his brother back, Knuckles and Rouge became a couple, Shadow's love is already his cheerful carefree self again, and Shadow couldn't be more happier.
They were all in the living room currently, except for Sonic he was out running around. Knuckles, Rouge, Shadow, and Tails were all discussing how to put together a surprise party for Sonic without him knowing.
* Shadow:
"So how are we going to do this? We all know Sonic always appears when you don't want him to, we can't have him walking in on it before it's done." I was waiting for an answer, but froze when my love walked in.
"Before what's done?" Sonic looked to his mate confused on why he just jumped ten feet, all he did was ask a question. At the time he asked the question, all I could do was stare at him and think of a cover up. Sadly life was against me, so Rouge cut in.
"Oh nothing special Blue, we were just talking about Knuckles and I plans for a date!" Sonic's face went from confused to happy, and I knew he believed her. "Cool! Well, I hope you two have a wonderful time." After that my mate walked over, and sat down on my lap then snuggled into the crook of my neck. Officially ending the conversation, until another time.
* Sonic:
I had just gotten back from my run when I over heard my mate say the line before it's done, it had me very curious on what I had been missing while gone. I decided to ask, though I must of scared Shadow because he jumped when I did.
The weirdest thing after was, that he was struggling to answer my question. I found that odd, especially when Rouge answered for him. After I heard what she had to say I decided they would tell me the truth eventually, so I decided to act like I believed her story.
Therefore, I walked over to my love, sat down on his lap, and snuggled into his neck craving his attention.
* Normal:
Shadow was sitting on the couch holding his love, when he got an idea on how to keep him away while the others get ready for tonight. So he put Sonic on the couch, and told Rouge to follow him to the kitchen. Knuckles, along with Tails and Sonic watched as Rouge and Shadow left the room.
* Rouge:
After we got he kitchen I looked at Shadow for answers to why he just dragged me in here, so when he walked in I turned around expecting an answer. "Well?" Shadow didn't waist any time, and explained.
"I figured out a way to get Sonic out while you guys get the party ready for tonight, but your going to need a replacement in my place to help." I looked at him and thought it was a good thing he knew what to do, then I knew who his replacement should be.
"Oh, that's easy! I can call Amy, she'll be glad to help." I saw Shads look of confusion, and giggled. Amy's one of my friends shadow, I met her after you disappeared. I watched as he nodded now understanding, then started to go with the plan.
* Sonic:
I was in my own thoughts on the couch waiting for my love to return, I couldn't help but realise no one has wished me happy birthday yet. I'm now nineteen years old, but I still thought someone would of remembered either way.
I was brought back when Shadow came back to me, and asked if I would accompany him somewhere. I was interested to know where he wanted to take me, so I said yes. Now we were on our way out the door, and at that moment Shadow scooped me up bridal style then took off running.
The wind in my face felt so nice I forgot that I had no clue where we were going, so I decided to ask. "Hey Shads, where we going?" I kept looking at him till he answered, also leaning my head against his chest.
* Shadow:
I had just asked my mate if he would accompany me somewhere, and was happy he said yes. When we got out the door, I scooped him up bridal style so we could get away from the house faster.
As I was running I could see he was enjoying himself, and I couldn't help but smile. Then he ask where we were going, I was kind of hoping he wouldn't but now I have to go with the plan that Rouge and I talked about. I hate lying to my mate, but it's for a good cause not to mention it's not really lying in a way.
"Well I thought first a trip to the park would be nice, then to the aquarium to see all the beautiful creatures that swim around there, and then we will head back home for a very special surprise." I watched as my mates face lit up, and he gained a huge smile.
