Chapter 5: Staying All Night

Hayley's POV 

The door went open and a group of rescuers appeared. "Are you okay?" the man asked. 

"BRUNO! Is he dead?!" a familiar dark guy cried as he appeared together with a big bald-headed man. 

"Mmm" I heard Bruno muttered as he woke and stood up. 

"Man! Are you okay? C'mon, we gotta get you out of here now!" the guy said. 

I ignored them and got adrenaline to exit the elevator. As I got out, a sea of people came after me and flickering flashes of lights blinded my eyes. I quickly covered my face with my handkerchief. "How did you get trapped with Bruno Mars?", "Why you two were caught chasing each other?", "What's your relationship with Bruno Mars?" they started throwing me questions which I didn't answer. I tried getting away from the really big crowd but I can't. 

"HEY! BROOKLYN GIRL!" suddenly I heard Peter's voice from the direction of the elevator. That was just when I got the strength to move and get away from the crowd. I successfully made it out as Peter caught everyone's attention and got attacked. 

I hurriedly ran out of the mall. I know everyone around me was looking but I didn't mind. I checked my watch and it was eight in the evening now. I hurried to get a taxi. I found one and got it but as I slammed the door close and the taxi man progressed, Peter suddenly stood at the front of the taxi to stop. "Hold on! I'm gonna get in! Don't you get away" he commanded giving the taxi man a warning look. 

"Oh my God! No! Please, taxi man. Get me out of here now!" I cried but it was too late. Peter got in from the door opposite to mine and locked it. 

When I was about to open my door, Peter grabbed my hand to stop. I looked at him with sharp eyes. "Don't think of getting away again and letting me chase you" he warned. 

"You're crazy...really" I answered. 

"Crazy...'bout you" he said in an uncertain voice. 

I rolled my eyes. "Crazy and pathetic. I don't know why you want me so bad" 

"Let me just take you to your office safe" 

"I can go by myself. I'm safer without you" 

The whole trip to the office wasn't nice. I felt annoyed. And as we got there, I got out leaving Peter to pay for the taxi. I walked towards the entrance door. Halfway, I met Sadie, Cass and Sam. 

"Oh my gosh! Hayley's not yet around" Cass cried. 

"Oh no, Hayley. Where the hell is she?" Sadie cried next. 

Then they saw me and got really surprised. 

"Damn, Hayley! Where have you been, you bitch?!" Sadie scolded. 

"Yeah. We were like texting and calling you but you never answer" Sam said. 

"I'm sorry, guys. It's complicated" I said. 

"Williams is so mad now" Cass added. 

"And you missed a lot too. Bruno Mars is so hot!" Sam opened up. 

"Yeah! We got to take pictures! Oh my God!" Sadie squealed. 

"Oh...right. I just met him" I nodded. 

"Really?" they asked in unison with shocked faces. 

"Oh yes" 

"Um, hello" Peter suddenly appeared behind me and greeted the girls which made them dropped their jaws and their eyes enlarged.
