If Only

If only, if only, if only,

I knew a way out of the oh so many ruts I've dug myself into,

Or if I didn't "have a problem" everyday,

If only I didn't fall apart in the winter,

Or I could remember to smile more often,

Just because,

Or if I could pull myself together,

More often than not.

If only I could make my thoughts stop racing,

Just enough to decipher ONE,

Or I could calm down just enough,

To not shake almost 24/7,

As "well" as I'm doing,

I'm just as equally not.
