Do you think the world wouldn't be this loud,
If street lights were dim, but the stars burning proud?
If bodies were made hollow so heartbeats are heard,
If real voices were spoken without saying a word,Do you think the world wouldn't be this heavy,
When the weight of ourselves is something we can carry?
When we measure our worth not through numbers alone,
When we let go of what drags us and fly on our own,Do you think the world wouldn't be this cruel,
If we only treated everybody in equal?
If our hands were rocks that hold each other up,
If we have learned to look down instead of above,Do you think the world wouldn't be this lonely,
When things shouldn't be the ones that make us happy?
When moments alone are enough to get us by,
When joy's the only reason for the tears that we cry,And do you think the world wouldn't be this broken,
If what we give matters more than what we have taken?
If we go back to the time when love was once free,
And the world was just as simple as you and me
