I know this truth is for me to bear -
The weight of our lost love's scars,
Like how the moon is left alone to grieve
The destruction of its stars,
They say the sky is for us to soar,
But what if our wings have different feathers?
Our journey might share the same destiny,
But we don't seem to arrive together,
For darling, we don't belong in this world,
But I wish there's a place for us somewhere else,
That in every choice we didn't take,
Comes a chance for our other selves,
So here I am, here I will
Hope for some fantasy,
For other versions of reality,
That in another world, in another fate,
It will finally be you and me
Author's note: This poem is dedicated to a best friend of mine. You know who you are and I know that what you're going through right now isn't easy, but it will get better soon. Just hang on in there and please do take care of your heart. xx.
