Playing With Fire

Chapter 1

Olivia POV

I wake up, groggily wiping sleep out of my brown eyes. They slowly burn into focus and I look around. On my left I see my best friend Ellie Cooper.

What is she doing here? I think. As I look on my right, I blush. Laying next to me is my 4 year crush Kade Casen! Even unconscious, he looks cute. With his light, brown hair, freckles, and blue eyes to die for, he's a complete package but he doesn't know it.

On Kade's right, I see Kade's best friend and Ellie's 2 year crush though he's not interested in her. Max Richards. Suddenly, my vision clears. We're in a forest, surrounded by trees, wildlife, and possibly evil.

Yes, I know that sounds ridiculous, but I've read the hunger games. I'm no fool. Suddenly I hear a familiar voice. "Where am I?"

"Ellie!" I squeal. "I'm so glad you're awake" Ellie rubs the sleep out of her beautiful blue eyes and tiredly peers around. "Where are we?" I roll my eyes. "Seriously Ellie, are you really that dumb? I don't know where we are!" Suddenly a groan I know all too well snaps me out of my thoughts. Kade's pale blue eyes slowly open as he mumbles. "Where are we?"

Suddenly, he sits bolt upright. "Olivia, is that you?" I flirtatiously roll my eyes. Kade can be a dick sometimes. A cute, smart, sporty, artistic dick with great hair.

"Yeah Kade, it's me." "Max!" Kade yells, scaring Ellie and I. "Seriously Kade!?!" Ellie shrieks. "What?" Kade smirks.

"I don't wanna be awake with only 2 girls and no boys." I smirk. "Really Kade? Are you scared that we'll bite?"

Kade's eyes flicker as he puts his softly tanned hand through his messy, luscious, fawn hair. "That's exactly what I'm afraid of," he retorts, making Ellie giggle.

"What the hell IS going on here?!?" A sudden voice demands. I glance over at Ellie, who is running her fingers over her blonde hair; willing it to straighten.

She leans over and whispers to me. "Do you have a straightener handy?" I roll my eyes. "Obviously not." I reply sharply.

"So Max," Kade says. "It took you long enough to wake up." Max rolls his eyes; obviously pissed off. "Dude, I was having a mean dream about someone."

I get up. "C'mon guys," I call. "Let's explore." Ellie and Kade get up immediately, with Max grumbling after them. We get up and start to venture what seems to be our new home...

It's a romantic thriller so if you think it's different to my usual stories than that's why. Fun fact: I named Olivia from my fave girls name, Kade is my favourite boy name, Ellie off one of my BFF's nickname, and Max off Max Thunderman (Which with Bunk'ds Griff is my favourite boy TV character.)
