My keyboard clicks as my fingers rapidly slip over each letter, spelling out all of the words. Even though my fingers ache, I keep pushing forward so I can get this chapter done. Soon enough, I finish the last chapter of my action novel, excitement fluttering through my body.

I close my notepad app on my computer, and then scroll through the dozens of comments my readers have left for me.

· Hi M.K Carter! Wondering if you're thinking about doing a romance novel? If so that would be awesome!

· Love you M.K Carter! Though, could you pretty please do a romance book?

· I absolutely love ALL of your adventure books and teen books, but none of them have love in it, is there a reason for that? But, do you think you could do a love story? That would be really great! Thanks again!

And there are hundreds more like that, I even got an email from my editor asking if I could think about doing a romance novel because that's what everybody's wanting. Of course I want to support my readers and give them what they want, but love is a hard thing for me, writing about it would be weird.

"Hey, you wanted to talk?" Christina asks, jumping me out of my thoughts, she walks into my room and places herself on my bed.

I uncross my legs on the window seat and let them dangle while still balancing my computer on my thighs.

"Yeah, hey, I just have a question." I say.

I was going to ask Madds, but she had work and I couldn't wait long enough for her and Kaitlyn wouldn't understand, so Christina was the one I chose in the end.

"Okay, shoot."

"So I met Carson's girlfriend." I start off.

"Yeah, you told me about that."

"Mhmm, anyways, I am just really wondering what I did to make Grace hate me. I haven't even met the girl until yesterday."

Christina shrugs, "that's easy. Whenever people saw you leave and heard about you and Carson "breaking up", they freaked out and everyone was upset because you know, they all expected you guys to be the legendary couple and then you turned out not to be. So then Grace comes walking into everyone's life and they all liked her until Carson began to date her, no one appreciated that and was mad at Carson because they all fought with him about being soulmates with you not Grace. Anyways, after awhile of dating Grace, the tension died down and everyone accepted the fact Carson wasn't dating you. Though, Grace always knew no one liked her because, again, she's not you. So, she just didn't like you from the start because people didn't like her for dating Carson. Not that it matters any more because everyone's gotten over it, but I guess she doesn't get rid of grudges quickly."

My heart speeds up, I'm a threat to her?! She's so pretty and awesome, and funny! Jealous of me?!

"Oh." I mumble.

"Don't take it personally, she's not that great." Christina stutters, noticing my pale and sweaty face.

"No, she is, and you know it. Do you think me and Carson will have a real chance now that I'm back?" I ask without even thinking about it. It's been a question I've had in my head ever since I've came back, but always too scared to hear their answers.

"Mae . . . " And Christina soon goes off rambling and I know exactly what she means.

Carson and I are done. And that's the truth.

~Hi peeps! Anyways, this isn't the best chapter ever and I'm sorry about that but I got a writer's block and this is the best I came up with. Sorry. For the question of the day : is Mae telling the truth or do you think the two old sweethearts have a chance? Thx again readers! <33
