Ch.2 Down on earth

*Obsidian POV*

I woke up on the ground near the temple,"HURRY UP!! FIND THAT TRAITOR!!" "T-traitor...Th-they think I'm..." I didn't wait for them to come out and find me so I ran as fast as I could not looking back. "WHERE IS HE?!?!" I heard them shouting so I kept running getting farther and further way from the yelling,"I got to get away, I have to run as far as possible from them." I kept running no matter how far away from their now silent screams I was.

*Time skip 3 weeks*

I've been running and walking away for weeks and finally decided to stop. "They think I'm a traitor...All because I fell off a window..." "That's horrible..." I turned around and found Sapphire and her Ruby,"oh...It's only you...I thought it was one of the gems hunting me..." The Ruby held sapphire's hand,"we have gems hunting us to..." I was curious,"why?" They looked at each other and blushed, soon their bodies lit up and they fused into an unusual fusion that I wasn't familiar with

"I had no idea other gems could fuse with each other...That's incredible." Their fusion smiled at me and unfused,"you're obsidian, right?" I nodded,"would you like to join us for tonight." "That would be great, thank you." I followed them to a cave as Ruby made a fire,"where will you go after this Obsidian?" I looked up at them and then looked down,"I don't know...I haven't studied earth enough to know where the best place to go is..." Sapphire placed her hand on mine,"I believe you can find hope somewhere on this planet, maybe even...Love." I looked at her,"love? I haven't heard about this...What is it?" She looked back at Ruby," I don't know either...But...It's like a feeling that you have... Something that makes you feel like the person you love is the one who'll stay with you for ages...It's the greatest feeling that anyone can ever feel." She seemed really happy just explaining it,"You really believe that?" I asked her,"why yes. But I have foreseen something involving you." I was surprised,"what is it?" "Your path leads away from us. Well until one day when we meet again under different circumstances." "So I'm guessing we go our own ways after this?" She nodded,"thanks at least for the shelter." I smiled at her and she smiled at me.

*Timeskip*

I walked outside of the cave with Ruby and Sapphire as we said our good-byes,"I'll see you soon." They smiled,"yes, one day under different circumstances." I nodded and went on my way,"one day."

*Timeskip/year: 1603/ location:Edo Japan*

It's been over a thousand years and I've walked all over the earth watching humans evolve and separate from each other, I finally decided to settle down and end my journey in this new place named Japan,"they have some weird clothing..." I looked at their clothing as they walked by,"hm..." I decided to give myself something similar but not to theirs

I walked along the street and found a human selling hats and I had enough to buy one I liked

I thanked him as I walked away now looking for a place to stay. I walked past a training school where they had warriors named samurai,"maybe one day I'll visit and test my skills."

*Timeskip*

I walked all night and sat down by the street so people could pass me by without having to bump into me. "Hello." I looked up and a small child extended her hand

"Are you alone?" I nodded,"come with me, I'll take you home." I smiled and followed her home,"mother! I brought someone!" "Asami...Please don't tell me you brought home another stranger..." Her mother came around the corner and looked at me with a sad look

"Good evening, my name is obsidian, I was out on the street with nowhere to stay and your daughter has offered me a chance to stay here." She sighed and decided to introduce herself,"my name is Teruko, I apologize for my daughter."  I shook my head,"there's no need to apologize, your daughter only wanted to help someone on their own,I'll leave if you want me to." I headed for the door when asami stopped me,"no please. Please stay." "Asami! Please." "But mother father always said to help those who need it the most." She looked back up at me and sighed,"fine...But he can't stay for long..." Asami smiled and hugged my waist.

*Time skip 3 months*

It's been three months since I've lived with Asami and Teruko and joined the samurai training school,"it's amazing how far you've come in your training obsidian-san, you have surpassed the greatest masters." "Thank you sensei, I owe it all to you, I'll see you next week." He nodded as I left. Once I got home I took off my top reviling only my body and nothing else down below,"oh! Obsidian...I had no idea you were home..." I found Teruko with her hair down wearing light clothing and she seemed wet,"I'm sorry I had no idea that you had gone swimming." "I wasn't swimming...I was bathing, you know keeping myself clean." She came close to me and sniffed me,"I'm sorry what are you doing?" She stepped back,"since you've been here I've never seen you bathe or do anything to clean yourself yet you don't smell horrible or look as though you've had any sort of bad hygiene whatsoever..." "Well I am what is known among my people a gem. I usually don't need what humans call sleep, bathing, or food." She turned around annoyed,"yet you eat the food I make like no tomorrow." I laughed,"hmph." She stormed off as I was about to put my normal clothes on when she came back,"cleanse yourself first, gem." And again she stormed out so I decided to go behind the house where there was a small waterfall and sat under it. I sat there for half an hour when I heard laughter,"silly obsidian-san" I smiled at Asami's words and looked behind her as her smiled down at at her then looked at me and gave me a more soft smile. I might like it here down on earth. Yeah.
