"Mom, where's daddy?"
"He will be back," Kate said. "I hope."
"Hi," Lilly said. "Can we come in?"
"Yeah, come in." Lilly came in slowly. "Are you ok?"
"Yes, I'm fine. I'm pregnant."
"That's awesome, Lilly."
"Thanks, sister. Did you find Humphrey?"
"No," she whispered. "My pups are sleeping, come out here." She takes her outside. "They don't know that I didn't find him and they're worried that they won't see their dad again."
"I know they will."
"I surely hope so."

"Humphrey!"
"Hi, Kate."
"Love you so much."
"I love you, too, Kate. How are the kids?"
"They're sleeping and good."
They went to sleep then the kids woke up and saw dad sitting at the end of the cave. They ran to him. "Hi, Claudette, Runt, and Stinky."
"Hi, daddy," Claudette said.
Kate smiled then went to him, too, and kissed him. "I love you."
"I love you, too, Kate." They went for a walk and visited Lilly and Garth.
"She's having the baby," Garth said. "She wants to be by herself for now." Later, he told them they can come in. Garth went to her and said, "I love you, Lilly."
"I love you, too, Garth."
She had six pups, more than Kate. Their names are Eve, Cole, Garth Jr., Kate, Love, and Nick. They went to sleep then Kate, Humphrey, and the pups went home and went to sleep, too. Humphrey woke up by Winston. "Come in the cave," Winston said. "Wake up the pups and Kate."
"Why, sir?"
"Because there are hunters looking for us. I have Lilly, Garth, and their pups at our cave."
"Kate, we have to go to your dad's den." They got the pups and went to Kate's dad den then Kate was shaking and scared. Humphrey went to her. "It's going be ok. I won't let them get our pups, I promise. I love you, Kate."
"I love you, too, Humphrey."
He went out of the cave and went to the old cave, howled then the hunters went to that cave. He started to bite them and they went to the car leaving.
"We will find another place to find pups," one of the hunters said.
Humphrey came back hopping on one leg. "They're gone."
Kate went to him and said, "Love you."
"I love you, too, Kate." They went to their dens and went to sleep.
