Vice Principle Hid- I mean Tom, took me to a small quiet, cozy cafe. He tried to make small talk but my mind was wondering off to my slut of mother and...Robert.
I shook my head. "I'm so sorry." I said with an apologetic look. He smiled at me sincerely. "No need to apologize, are you alright?" He asked worriedly. I sighed deeply in thought. "Mr.Downey is your boyfriend, correct?" He asked again.
"I-I don't know anymore..." I muttered.
"Well, give Robert a chance. Hear his side of the story." He said.
"I don't think so, they both have been in that office for a long time, he could've kicked out her out a long time ago, yet he chose to f*cking make out with her." I growled. He looked at me sympathetically.
"Wait a second. How did you know that woman was in there for a while?" He asked suspiciously. Oh crud. I gulped.
"A student told me some lady was in his office. They told me when she arrived." I lied. He nodded.
"Well, I hope Robert realizes that he made the worst mistake hurting a beautiful young lady as yourself." He said. I blushed. I'm not used to being complimented.
"That's sweet of you to say that. I mean not the part of Robert cheating on me! You know, complimenting me..." I said awkwardly. He chuckled. After that conversation, we chatted a bit more.
Tom was single...not that I cared. He enjoyed reading a lot of Shakespeare. Yawn! I like it too but I'd rather read action and dystopian types of books. We talked about the various movies, the places he traveled. I wish I could do that.
"Woah, time goes by quick!" I exclaimed as I looked at the clock.
"Well, time does fly when you're enjoying yourself," Tom chuckled. "I'd better get going then." I said as I got up.
"Would you like me to drive you home?" He asked politely. "Sure!" I replied. We walked to his car talking. He opened the car door for me, like the gentleman he is.
I told him my...well, Robert's address and drove off. We sat in silence in the car, it was comfortable. Not awkward anymore. He parked right outside Robert's house.
"Well, thank you Tom, for a lovely evening." I said thankfully. "It was you who made it lovely," he replied cheekily. I giggled.
"If you ever want to talk again, here's my number." He said. He asked first if he could see my phone...my eyes widened. "Uh, why don't you just tell me your number?" I suggested. He agreed and told me his phone number. I saved him in my contacts.
"Have a goodnight Tom!" I said as I got out of the car. "You have a goodnight as well, Ally!" He replied.
I jogged to the door and got out the spare key. I looked back and saw Tom waiting for me to safely enter my house. I smiled and waved him goodbye before I entered the house. I heard his car drive off as I shut the door. I smiled.
"Arwen! Thank god you're alright! Where were you?" Robert asked as he hugged me. I shoved him away.
"Don't touch me! I'm Ally right now! You cheated on me for god sakes! And with that wh*re!" I shouted. He looked down shamefully.
"I'm sorry! It's just-" he stopped. "It's just what? Huh Robert? You told me you wouldn't ever cheat on me with that witch! If you were going to cheat on me, you could've cheated on some else! Anyone but her!" I said angrily. He stood quietly.
"Why did you do it?" I asked. "I can't...I can't tell you..." He said weakly. I grunted.
"Don't ever talk to me again." I said and ran upstairs. This was the last night I was going to stay here, I thought would stay longer. But I just can't right now.
I changed into my nightwear and got into bed. That night, Robert didn't get in bed with me, which made it all more sad. I fell asleep, with silent tears sliding down my face.
I woke up extra early to pack up. I'm spending the rest of time with Judy at her house. I packed my last suit case and sat down on the bed with heavy sigh. I dialed Judy's number. "Hey Judy." I said weakly.
"I'm okay...can you pick me up?...I don't want to talk about it right now...okay, I'll be waiting outside." I said before I clicked. I got up and quietly brought my suitcases downstairs.
I looked at the couch. My heart broke a little. Robert was asleep, his face was puffy, dried tear stains were on his face. I went into the kitchen and cooked him breakfast.
I wrote a note. Judy's car honked outside. I opened the door at dragged the luggage out. Judy helped me take them into the car.
She tried to ask me what was wrong but I told her that I would tell her when we get to her house.
"That sl*t!" Judy hissed. I nodded. "I can't believe it! Why would Robert do that?" She asked. "I don't know. He said he couldn't tell me." I muttered angrily.
Judy looked at my sympathetically. "I'm sorry Arwen, this is all my fault!" She said as she covered her face with her hands. She was about to cry.
"No! No! This wasn't your fault at all! Don't cry Judy, this was my fault! I got into this mess, I deserve the consequences, don't feel bad!" I said as I comforted her. I wrapped my arms around her.
"Don't cry, or you'll make me cry too." I whimpered. She laughed and hugged me back.
"Let's watch some movies and pig out on some junk food!" She shouted. "Ah, the best way to waste time!" I grinned. Where would I be if I hadn't met her.
As we finished the last movie, we cleaned up and changed into our pjs. We both got into bed, I was restless. I looked at the time. 2 am. I sighed heavily. "Hey, Arwen?" Judy whispered.
"Yeah?" I replied. "I was just thinking...you know, how Robert said he couldn't tell you." She said. I stayed quiet.
"Do you think there's a reason why he can't? Maybe he's being threatened?" She questioned. I snorted. "Judy, I think we watched one too many of those movies." I chuckled.
"Hey! You never know, it could be true." She said. "Pfft, yeah right!" I said as I looked back at the clock. Judy knocked out, wish I could.
I stared at the ceiling. What if it was true...my step mother is after all Satan's mistress...I shook my head. I've been watching way too many movie. I shut my eyes and knocked out.
