I sighed, looking inside the moving van and seeing what I have to do. So. Many. Boxes. I picked the first one up and carried it inside, setting it down in the large living room. I made a couple more trips before a deep voice stopped me from what I was doing. "Hello. I see you're new." I turned to look at whoever said that, brushing my hair out of my eyes. I couldn't believe it. "Z-Zane?" I asked, afraid to believe that he is here; he is standing in front of me. His eye widened.
"(Y-Y-N)!" He shouted, pulling me into a hug. I buried my face into his jacket, breathing in his scent. He hasn't changed much since high school. We finally pulled away, although he still held on to my shoulders. "I can't believe it...you're here!" He exclaimed, shock still clearly written on his face. "I know! I'm sorry I moved away without making any effort to keep in contact..." I mumbled, looking at my feet. "It's fine. What matters is that you're here now." He said, happiness masking over the shock. "Now, let's get started." He said, picking up a box and taking it inside. 'I'm so lucky to have a friend like Zane.' I thought to myself, smiling as I picked up another box. After we finished, we just collapsed in my barely furnished kitchen. By barely furnished, I mean there were two chairs and a small table. I smiled at him, glad to have my best friend back. He helped me unpack my things, and it was around 7 p.m. when we finished moving everything in and unpacking. I ordered a pizza, knowing exactly what he wanted. I quickly put on an episode of this show Zane likes, and shouted for him to come. Zane walked out of the kitchen, his mask and jacket hung over a chair. I looked at him, studying his face. Something was off. I reached over and pushed the hair out of his other eye. Sure, he might be blind in that eye, but it doesn't look weird. It was just a paler shade of blue, almost melting in with the white of his eye. "H-hey!" He shouted, pushing it back in front of his blind eye. "Oh come on! You look fine without the hair in your eye, Zane!" I groaned. He paused.
"R-really?" He asked, not believing me. I nodded, then pushed the hair back out of his eye. He didn't complain, just went back to watching the show. The doorbell rang a few minutes after than, and I raced upstairs to get my wallet. After grabbing a twenty dollar bill, I sprinted back downstairs. Er...tried to. I tripped when I started to go down, do I basically tumbled down the stairs. Zane, howling with laughter, didn't do anything to see if I was okay, seeing as how he could barely breathe. I muttered something under my breath about him not changing since we were kids. I quickly paid for the pizza and watched the dude leave. I brought out two paper plates and napkins. "Get anything on my cushions and you are buying me new ones." I threatened him. He nodded, still giggling over my fall down the stairs. By the time we were done eating and watching TV, it was already midnight, and Zane had fallen asleep on my couch. Didn't get any food on it though. I shrugged, then got up and went to bed.

*~le time skip to morning because Author~Chan does not want to describe Zane or (Y/N) sleeping although if she had to she would describe them adorably sleeping like little kittens~*

I woke up to my fire alarm beeping and Zane screaming. I sprinted downstairs to find Zane setting out plates and food. "Wha....what?" I mumbled, rubbing my eyes. "Your alarm was going off and I didn't want to go upstairs to get you so I started yelling." Zane said simply, thinking that was completely NORMAL. I sighed, then just sat down to eat. "'Anks, 'Ane." I said cheerfully, my mouth full. He rolled his eyes, smiling. And then the doorbell rang, ruining the moment. I swallowed, then got up to get it. There was a beautiful girl with light blue hair and striking eyes staring back at me. My mouth immediately felt dry. "U-uh...h-h-hi." I stuttered. "Hey, new guy." She said, smirking at me. I laughed. "Is it that obvious?"
"Well, considering that I don't know you, kinda." She told me, raising an eyebrow. I cleared my throat. "W-would you like to c-come i-i-in?" I asked, holding the door open. She nodded, her eyes widening as she stepped in. "Hey, (Y/N), what's taking so lo-KATELYN?!" Zane yelled, his face red as his hands flew up to cover his face. He ran back into the kitchen, putting on his mask and hoodie. Katelyn was laughing, almost leaning on me. I was blushing furiously, not sure what to do. After she stopped laughing, she quickly texted some people. And a minute later, I had about 10 people on my doorstep. "Hi." I said, seeing a bunch of dudes. "Ow! Laurance, let me through!" An adorable, high pitched voice squealed before a short, black haired girl shoved her way to the front. I invited them all inside, then bolted upstairs to get a shirt. I was only in sweatpants, and I saw one of the girls, a purple haired cat girl, staring at me. It made me extremely uncomfortable. Once I got back downstairs, that same cat girl that was staring at me pulled me aside, away from the others. She was really pretty. Long purple hair, a michevious look in her dark brown cat eyes...wow. "Hello there." She whispered, almost purring. "H-h-hi.." I breathed, in awe at how many beautiful girls were in my house. And the one in front of me. I ran my hand through my short (H/C) hair, taking a deep breath. "I'm Michi. How 'bout you?" She asked, looking at me from under her eyelashes a little bit. "I-I'm (Y-Y-Y-Y/N)." I stuttered, blushing. She giggled, coming closer to me. "Whaddya say we go somewhere more...private?" Michi purred. Before I could say anything, a hand was on my shoulder. "Leave him alone, Michi." A deep voice said behind me. "Hmph. Fine." She said, stalking off to go harass poor Laurance. I turned around, revealing Garroth. I sighed. "Thank god you showed up. She probably would have eaten my face if I'd rejected." I joked. He laughed, then jerked his head back to everyone. "Might wanna head back. Kawaii~Chan is baking cookies." He said, then walked away. I sighed, then dashed upstairs to the bathroom. Before I got there, I heard someone else in there. "Okay. Come on. You can do this. You are finally going to ask her out. There's no guarantee she'll say yes, but...oh, who am I kidding. She doesn't like me like that." It sounded like Aaron. I knocked on the door, and it opened to reveal a red faced Aaron. "Come here." I said, taking him by the wrist and leading him to my room. "Who were you going to ask out?" I asked, shutting the door. "I-uh-uhm.." He stuttered. "Aphmau." He finally said. I pumped my fist in the air. "Yes! You two are so cute together!" I laughed. He hesitantly smiled. "Yeah, I guess. I don't think she likes me like that though..." He said, sighing. "Oh come on! Have you not seen the way she looks at you? She's just waiting for you to ask her out." I said, gripping his shoulders. He just shook his head and bit his lip. "Fine. Then I'll ask her out for you." I said, marching towards the door. "No!" He yelled, jumping in front of it. I raised in eyebrow, waiting for him to speak. "I'll do it." He said, determined. Aaron opened the door and walked downstairs, me trailing after him. I watched from afar as he asked Aphmau out, then her wrapping her arms around his neck. I smiled, assuming she said yes. After everyone went home, including Zane, I collapsed on my couch. As I surveyed the area, I saw a pink bow sitting on my counter. I sighed, going to pick it up. I walked over to the girls' house and knocked on the door. Kawaii~Chan answered the door, slightly sweating and wearing a sports bra and shorts. "A-are you m-m-missing a b-bow?" I mumbled, refusing to look straight at her. She touched a hand to her hair, then gasped. "Oh! Yes! Kawaii~Chan is! Thank you (Y/N)~Senpai!" She squealed, shutting the door after taking the bow. Did she just call me Senpai? I thought, walking back to my house. I got ready for the day, then just lounged on my couch watching Attack On Titan. Around 2pm Katelyn came over, and the two of us watched TV until she went home. I sighed contentedly, burrowing into the warmth of my sheets. I had made new friends. This was either the start of some amazing new friendships, or a trip down Drama Road.
