Here's a run-down of what Allie, Julian, Angie and Hermione say when they see Fred and I stepping into the compartment of Hogwarts Express with our hands intertwined.

"Holy fucking shit. Vee finally got some of that ginger ass."

"Language!"

"Are you seeing what I'm seeing, Allie?"

"If you're seeing Venus Jordan and Fred Weasley holding hands, then yes, Angie."

I roll my eyes at all of them and sit down, smiling and greeting all of them. Harry, Ron, George and Lee join us moments later, and our compartment is now crammed full of witches and wizards. "Even with everyone in here, I'm still bloody freezing," Angie complains, burrowing into her hoodie.

"I can fix that," I say, scooting forward on my seat. "I perfected this over the break," I say as I pull out my wand and quickly flick down the blinds. Putting my wand away, I hold out my hands and click my fingers. Almost immediately, my hands begin to glow purple, but instead of energy, it's heat. I keep them glowing as we continue our conversation, and I am able to focus on other things without the heat running out or flickering. Soon enough our compartment is warmed up, and when I let my hands fade everyone claps. I laugh and stand up, doing a little bow before sitting back down again.

"So," Julian says lazily, leaning back in his seat and eyeing Fred and I with interest. "How long has this been going on for?"

I shrug, "two weeks, I think... we got together over the break."

"And why didn't you tell us in your letters?" Allie says accusingly.

"I wanted to see your reaction," I say honestly, remembering their expressions not long ago. "They were a little disappointing, to be honest."

"Yeah, because we all knew it would happen eventually," Angie says. "That reminds me- Julian, you owe me three Galleons!"

Fred gasps. "You were taking bets on us?"

"Obviously," Julian says. "I bet you guys would get together in February."

"I bet January, so I was pretty close," Harry says.

"Same here," Ron pipes up from beside Harry. Hermione nods.

"Angie and I bet over Christmas break," Allie says triumphantly as Julian digs into a small pouch and pulls out three Galleons, throwing them to Angie and then three to Allie.

As the money is dished out, Fred and I talk about when we can see Lupin and put my tail in the necklace Fred gave me for Christmas. I wear it around my neck, despite it being empty, and as soon as I put it on it felt right. It sits just below the hollow of my throat, and the cool metal against my skin is a constant reminder of both Fred and my powers. We agree to see Lupin tomorrow and do it, and soon enough I fall asleep against Fred's shoulder.

After the big feast in the Great Hall, I find myself walking around the grounds with everyone, except for the Golden Trio. They're probably off getting themselves in trouble somewhere, and I've given up trying to be their mom.

We all visit Sir Francis, who greets us amiably and tells us of some new places that Filch has found to hide on the grounds. He tells us that some of the paintings have taken Filch's side, and that they plan to snitch on students found out of bed. After advising us to stay away from the second floor at night, he says goodbye and runs off, his armour clanging in the other paintings as he goes.
