Eyes fluttered open just a little, glimpsing life and then returning to the calm dark. Feet twitched, suddenly too hot and uncomfortable- hands numb from the weight of a lazy head, and stomach churned at the smell of soap circling in the cool air. He had to get up. A distant voice was calling his name. His eyes snapped open, and Iyden was finally awake.
