       Jack jumped to his feet and scampered over and off of the bench as soon as he saw Mark, and was startled by the cold and foreign brown eyes that met his own.

        “Mark…” he choked out, “Mark, please don’t leave me. I… I love you, I can’t bear to see you go. I don’t know why it took me this long to figure things out but I love you, so please don’t leave me, please…”

        Mark shook his head, looking up at the clouded sky above them, “Jack, I found someone else.”

        “Mark, no!”

        “I’m sorry, Jack.”

        “NO! Mark, PLEASE!” Jack was sobbing now, “please don’t give up on me…”

        Mark laughed coldly, “Oh Jack, I gave up on you a long time ago.”
