geoff: good morning :-)) it's just a check up, so it's going to be alright
geoff: i'll be back by third period, so you won't be alone during the rest of our classes
awsten: great, i'm going to be alone second period ;'((
geoff: you'll be fine, i promise
awsten: are you sure?? i need a geoff in my life for things to be a-okay
geoff: yes, i'm sure, you dork. now i gotta go. talk later?
awsten: okok. talk later. i'll save you a seat in third period :))
geoff: okay, awsten, you do that
awsten: i will

geoff: i'm on my way back to school, i better have that spot next to you
awsten: i have your spot, dw
geoff: i wouldn't get caught texting, mr. melberge will kill you
awsten: ugh, fine, see you soon
geoff: wow, you listened to someone other than yourself. surprising.
awsten: stop bullying me a hurry up
geoff: i'm walking into school, see u soon
geoff tucked away his phone into his back pocket as he entered the office. he signed in and got a late pass from the office lady before making his way up to class. he entered the class, handed the pass to the teacher and took the seat next to awsten in the back.
"you made it," awsten laughed quietly.
"mhm. what are we doing?"
"reading the book from last week and taking down notes."
"that's it?"
"yep. if you want, we can be partners."
geoff smiled, "we're going to be partners."
"good."
they spent the rest of the class reading a few chapters and writing down notes to help with the test on friday. when the bell ring, they shoved the papers and books back into their bags. before geoff left, awsten grabbed onto his wrist.
"hey, i have a question."
"what is it?"
"do you like that band, neck deep?"
geoff nodded, "yeah. why do you ask?"
"just wondering. they seem pretty good."
