The party escalated quickly when I returned. Harvey went to talk with his friends and I looked around to see the crowd. I noticed my mother sitting with a group of ladies at a table in the corner, Bay and Bass were making out in a booth in the back, and then my father was sitting at the bar with...Dan. What the hell. I quickly sprinted over there until someone came in front of me. It was Harvey.

"Hey gorgeous. Wanna dance", he asked.

"Um, Harvey I am kinda busy. Can we dance later", I asked. But instead of letting me go, he took my arm forcefully, and dragged me to the dance floor.

"Harvey, what are you doing", I asked trying to stop him.

"Sweetheart, I don't want to fight. Just do what I say", he said. He took one of his hands in mine and his other hand on the lower section of my book. We waltzed around for a while to this ballad song. Throughout the whole song, my eyes were on my dad and Dan the whole time. Occasionally, someone would laugh and then the conversation would go back to serious.

After the song was over, Harvey led me to the bar and ordered both of us a drink.

"You are a good dancer", Harvey said as he took our drinks from the counter.

"Yeah, I took dance when I was little", I said taking the drink from his hand.

"So, you wanna leave?", he asked. I mean, I wanted to leave, but what about my parents. They never told me the details of their departure. But I did really want to get out of here.

"Okay, lets go, but first let me tell my dad that I am leaving", I said, getting off my seat and heading to where he was sitting. But then Harvey got in my way.

"Go tell your mom.", he said with a hint of irritation in his voice.

"No, I came to this party for my dad so I have to tell him", I said. I saw that he thought about something but then he let the subject go and continued to walk along side with me.

I finally reached him and turns out Dan was still with him. Their face expressions were serious. Dan then noticed me then smirked. My father turned around and saw me with Harvey.

"Where is your date, Blair", father asked.

"He had a meeting to get to so Harvey got me in", I said. He thought and shook hands with Harvey. Then Dan got in between walked over to me.

"Hello beautiful", Dan said, pulling me towards him by the waist.

"Let go of me", I squealed as I pried his hands off me.

"Dan, not right now", my father said out of no where.

"What do you mean not right now", I asked confused. Then Dan whispered in my ear, "You'll find out soon". With that he smirked and went back to sit at the bar. He ordered another drink and then looked me up and down. Ugh, the way he was looking at me was disturbing and uncomfortable.

"Stare a little longer sweetheart", Dan said chuckling to himself. I scoffed and turned towards my dad.

"Anyway father, I am leaving home. I just wanted to tell you so you wouldn't go around looking for me", I said. My father looked at me with a serious expression. I also noticed Dan with a hint of anger on his face.

"You may go, but we have some important things to discuss. I want you to meet me tomorrow here in the morning. Dan told me you work on the 61st floor so I'll come by and talk to you", my father said while ordering another drink.

"Umm, actually, I currently work down in reception", I said. My father then fisted his hand and broke the glass in his cup. I jumped back in surprise and hit Harvey's back. Harvey put his hands around me and gave some space between me and my father.

"You turned down my offer to run my company for a receptionist at some charity foundation that doesn't even the money to charity", my father screamed very loud. Some people where starring now and there was rage in my fathers eyes. I was scared. I have never seen him like this before.

"Father please, I didn't-"

"No Cornelia, this is the last straw. I will not tolerate any more of your foolishness", my father said getting up grabbing my arm.

"Father please, reconsider-". He cut me off short and slapped me across the face. I felt pain on my left cheek. A tear slipped down my face and I saw that my father sat back down and ordered another drink. Dan was looking at my father with displeasure and Harvey was glaring at my father. Ugh, I don't want to be in their presence. I glared at my father and turned around.

"Blair, let me lead you out", Harvey said behind me.

"No, Harvey. I just want to be left alone", I said more tears in my eyes. He then grabbed onto my arm but I quickly shoved it off and ran out.

I could hear the music blasting inside. I was almost at the entrance of the building. There were still tears in my eyes and I couldn't control them. I passed through security and saw that the photographers were still outside. Shit. If I went outside looking like this, they would report it. I can't go out looking like this. Then, I remembered that there is a back entrance to the parking deck.

I went behind the building hallways. There were no people there. As I passed this very foreign area of the building, I noticed there were separate elevators that came down here. Weird. Hmm, maybe these elevators could lead me to the parking deck. I pressed the button to go up. It came down after like three minutes. I got in.

The elevator was very unusually different than the lobby elevator. It was much smaller and the buttons were way differently labeled. I pressed the H button because I thought that would lead me somewhere because it was the only letter button on the dial. Instead of going up, it went down abnormally fast. Faster than normal elevators. I braced myself not wanting to fall. Fuck. I think I am in deep shit.

It went even faster until it suddenly stopped. The doors opened and I quickly ran out scared that the elevator would go crazy. I didn't even know where I was. The place was pitch back except for a light coming from a close by hallway. I walked towards it and found a big foyer like entrance, with a grand staircase, big chandelier in the middle of the room, and a ticket register booth right near it. Huh, what the fuck!

I looked around the room and noticed the staircases led up to somewhere. I went up one stair and then something or shall I say someone bumped into my back. I quickly turned around to find Nathan. He was almost shocked to see me.

"Blair, what the fuck are you doing here? Who the fuck let you in here?", he said, taking my hand guiding my down the stairs.

"Nathan, I am so glad I found you", I hugged him, not thinking. "I was lost, looking for the parking deck. And then I found this elevator and went on some random floor and -". He cut me short and slowly hugged me back.

"It's okay Blair. You are safe", he said as he broke the hug and held my face in his hands. He starred at me but then his face became a frown.

"Why is half your face red? What happened? Did someone hurt you?", he said examining my face.

"It's nothing Nathan. Just please get me out of here. I really want to go home", I said getting out of his grip.

"Sure we can get out of here but not until you tell me what happened", he said grabbing my wrist. Guess I had to tell him.

"It was my father. He got mad at me and slapped me. Happy!", I said. He didn't say anything. He then took my hand and said", Come one. Let's get out of here".

With that, he led me out through these dark hallways.
