Alpha and the Mouse

With a furrowed brow I cautiously approach the moving bush. Nobody seemed to notice the movement so no one reacted to it. As I drew closer and closer to the bush for some reason I had this crawling feeling up my back.

Not wanting to stall the suspense I jump into the brier.

The pointy shrub leaves prick my skin as I roll around trying to catch something. Suddenly something or rather someone yelps. I knew it! I knew I saw someone here. Getting a handful of the person's shirt I haul myself out and then pull the person out behind me.

"What the hell are you doing!? Do you have no manners? Jumping on people like they are freaking horses!"

Standing in front of me was a boy. He looked to be around the age of 12 to 13. He has dirty blond hair with dark chocolate brown eyes. In his eyes, I could see anger and his mouth sneered at me.

"Well, Sorry your highness if I jumped you when you were on MY territory!" I scream.

"Technically this bush is not on YOUR territory nor is it on ours so I'm not trespassing anything. Now, apologize before I call my alpha and have him imprison you for traumatizing a little kid that was no threat to you or your pack." oh that little kid is getting on my last nerve!

"Fine! Call your oh so great alpha! Let him come here so I can give him a piece of mind!"

"Fine! I will!" then he turns around and runs back to his pack.

A minute after he leaves I almost have a mini meltdown. I can't believe I just did that! I'm so dumb! First yelling at a kid and then challenging him to call his alpha. I have no idea why I did, what I did. I think I need to go get my head checked out.

Clutching my head I turn around to see the entire border patrol gawking at me with shock.

"Oh, put a lid on it!. Haven't you ever seen a someone yell at a kid?" rolling my eyes at their faces I turn to head back to the pack house

It was in the afternoon when they arrived. The entire morning I thought that maybe the kid was bluffing by noon I was pretty sure of it.

Dad got a mind link asking for his permission to let the alpha from the Night Howler pack to come in with his beta and his bodyguard. Dad was really confused as to why but when I explained what happened that morning he shook his head and told the guard to let them in.

Right now we were all waiting in the pack house for them to arrive. I haven't changed from what I was wearing but Rosy, the ever proper person, said that she couldn't be seen in her normal clothes when three men were coming. Shaking my head at her I place myself behind Ben, who was standing beside dad.

Most of the pack members were waiting outside in the meeting area while only dad, Ben, Rosy, Russell the guard and I were inside the pack house. Dad didn't want me here but seeing as I was the reason they were coming in the first place, it would have been rude if I wasn't present.

A few minutes after Rosy comes down wearing a shining golden dress that reached her knees we heard a knock on the front door. Russell goes to open the door and comes in with three men. The second they walk in a strong forest smell hits my senses.
