"Phil," I shout excitedly. "Hurry up!"

I was currently waiting for him to get dressed so we could finally go on our date. I had it all planned out, laser tag, going out for dinner, then coming home and cuddling up with a movie. I had been waiting to do this with Phil for a couple weeks, it seemed we were constantly busy, and when we had free time, we chose to spend it snuggled together in our bed, talking about anything and everything.

Conversation always flowed easily between us. We could start talking about something unimportant, and end up sitting there for hours, sharing our hopes for the future. But our conversations weren't always talking. We were also very good at speaking with our facial expressions. We'd been together so long, and knew each other so well, that I could tell what he was thinking just by recognising a small glint in his eyes.

Because we were so close, and so in love, I figured a stereotypical date every once in a while couldn't hurt. Sure, we did everything together, and we were almost always exchanging flirty banter, but I liked getting to treat him every so often. Like today, I had chosen to surprise him.

"Okay, I'm ready."

I looked over to the door of the lounge and saw the most beautiful person to ever grace this planet, my boyfriend, Phil Lester. His black hair was straightened neatly and his crystal blue eyes were full of excitement. I felt myself bite my lip as I looked over his outfit, taking in his gorgeous body. Tight black jeans hugged his legs and a red and black flannel shirt covered his almost translucent chest. The sleeves were rolled up and stopped just before his elbow. Somehow he always managed to look sexy.

"Dan," he smirked. "You're staring."

I stuck out my tongue at him and walked over to wrap him in a hug. I purposefully put my hands lower then socially acceptable and nuzzled my face into his neck, inhaling his sweet scent. I loved being close to him. He made me feel safe in a way that no one else could. His strong arms wrapped around my torso and I shivered in delight. Every touch from him was exhilarating. His touch was magic.

"Ready to go?" Phil asked.

"No," I mumbled and hugged him tighter.

He pulled away slowly and cupped my face in his hands. I smiled warmly at him and he smiled back before leaning in. I met him halfway and our lips collided smoothly. Before I could get too aroused, Phil pulled away smirking cheekily.

"Let's go."

We arrived at the laser tag place around 5pm. The one story building was dull on the outside with a single glowing sign marking the entrance. The tinted glass doors revealed nothing, and the inside of the place seemed to be completely dark.

"Dan," Phil laughed. "Are you sure they're even open?"

I nodded persistently and grabbed his hand, dragging him towards the door. I grasped the cool metal handle tightly and held it open for the two of us. We took a few steps inside and were greeted by a heavily decorated room. It was still dark, but glow sticks hung from the ceiling. Small lanterns shone in neon colours, lighting paths to the check-in desk, bathrooms and dining area. Every table in the dining area was coated in glow in the dark paint, and the check-in desk was covered in pink and green fairy lights.
