You know, FINALLY the narrator gets to have a chance to speak in first person, in which of course is me. In case you have forgotten me, I am the ghost of the first Elder. I shan't speak about Elders nor can I speak about myself. You're probably thinking I should just shut up and continue the story. I shall then. But I did warn you in the beginning.
"Logan dear, you have 5 minutes to pack your school stuff" reminded his mum.
Logan picked up his school stationary that were littered on the hard stone floor. Pencils, rubbers, sharpeners and notebooks that were waterproof.
"I'm ready mum!" He replied. "And I guess this will be the day I start middle school" Logan muttered under his breath.
Students enter middle school at the age of 15, when everything is legible for them. For example, freedom to the Outer Zone, which is out of bounds for underage people. Logan Hunterman is starting school at Coral Shell though most people call it Coral 'Hell'. It has been understood that Coral Shell middle school is suited for only the best students and teenagers in Zone 3. This is gonna be bad He thought. There has been a rumour that Coral Shell also educated sharks. Seriously, you would not want to get eaten by a shark.
A few minutes passed with Logan standing in front of the wall, wondering. His mum stormed in the room and grabbed him by his ears.
"Will you just hurry up Logan!" The two of them headed to the sub-travel which is a transport that transports people from one side of the water to the other. All you need to do is to stand in the sub-travel and mark the destination in the shell that is on the side of the transportation. Coral shell middle school Logan wrote on to the shell.
"Bye Logan, have fun at school!" His mum said.
"Yeah, I'll have fun at Coral Hell middle school!"said Logan. After he transported through sub-travel, he muttered," and die with the Sharks".
Logan swam towards Coral Shell. He was speech less. All he could see were the glistening coral structures that were gleaming under the light from above the sea. Other mermaids, fish and zone 3 teenagers swam in groups and chattered about the latest gossip. Logan caught sight of a boy around the same age as him and swam towards him. "Hey, how are you, I'm Logan Hunterman and I am starting school this year" Logan introduced himself.
"Hey..." Said the boy. There was an awkward pause between them but then it was broken by the school bell ringing. BRIIIIIIIIIIIIING! Guess that didn't go well for making friends at first sight, oh man that sounded weird... He thought. Logan walked through the school door and brushed past a girl in pig tails. She smiled at him. He smiled back. Logan felt this weird sensation in his stomach that he has never felt before.
Getting to his locker wasn't easy. Walking past teenagers wasn't easy. The school is water proof which means water doesn't enter the class rooms but are still in the playground. The Zone 3 people are born with the ability to breathe under water (Obviously). He checked his timetable. Class 1D. The school sorted the class as the 15 year olds are in group 1 all the 21 year old are in group 6.
The elders believe that at the age of 21, every one are allowed to control themselves and be independent. It is also commencing in all the Zones. First class was shark fighting. Basic things really like punching it on the nose and understanding that sharks don't have good eyesight. Logan noticed that the girl in pigtails' name is Eleanor. Eleanor. Logan thought it was a lovely name. No reason really.
He followed the students heading towards to his class as well. They were heading outside to arena.
In his class, the girl was there to. He felt his face grow red as a tomato. Though she wasn't even looking at him.
"Now class, you will begin battling a shark in the shark arena,"announced Mr sharp, who indeed has sharp teeth. The teacher led his students towards the arena. Swimming still, were ten great white sharks. Robotic. Sharp and shiny white teeth blaring at Logan. Logan shivered.
"Now unlike all the other teachers, we have our classes run efficiently. No roles, takes too much time and no chances. I will not tolerate any unnecessary behaviour within my class." The Teacher said whilst glaring at all of the students.
They were standing in a rather odd place, doesn't look like an arena one bit. The arena walls were lined up with rather old sea rock with moss dangling down from the sides. Aisles on the side were tilted and not one person sat there. In fact, the only humans insight were their class, all trembling in the water. All 20 or so of them.
"Now We will have a demonstrator to show us the activity that we are going to do. How about Mr Hunterman? Quick and snappy please," Mr Sharp pointed out as he dove straight into the lesson.
Logan stood there absent mindedly unaware of the teacher's request. Someone beside him nudged his elbow and signalled him that he was meant to go up.
"I said Mr Hunterman, could you please swim up to demonstrate for us?" Mr Sharp asked again, this time with his grey brows creased and scratching his grey-brown hair.
Logan looked down at his blue flippers and then hesitantly swum forward. Each shark glared at him in a hungry way. Thirst for blood.
"Umm... So what do I do?" Logan asked, he was well aware of the class staring at him as if he was a specimen.
"You will need to battle the Sharks as they come towards you, they have been trained to only harm you mentally, not physically," the teacher explained as he took at the remote control out of his pocket, "I'm sure your parents have shown you SharkFights on the Telescreen am I right?"
When Logan was younger, his parents forbade him to watch such violence. The Sharks all powerful, controlled and robotic whilst the human was left pitiless, bare and harmed. As an only child, he was protected even from afar like a Telescreen broadcast.
"And how exactly does it harm you mentally?" Logan continued asking. His mind was already clouded with confusion and fear.
Mr sharp turned towards his other students and declared,"We have a curious mate here, he doesn't even know how it can harm mentally!" The students roared with laughter, including Eleanor. Logan felt his face grow hot and red. Exactly how did these Robot animals harmed him mentally he did not know. For he was sure the others didn't either.
"Mr Hunterman, will you just hurry up and please GET ON WITH IT!"Mr Sharp continued screaming, but instead towards Logan .
"I did say quick and snappy!" He continued to shout at him. The class laughed even more as if he was some type of comedian show from the Old times. Logan stole a glance at Eleanor who was standing at the back with a couple of her friends. She grimaced sheepishly as her friends beside her laughed uncontrollably.
The Sharks started to circle around him, blaring their teeth. Logan panicked. How in the world is it meant to harm me mentally? Logan thought. The Sharks started speaking to him in his mind, straight after Logan had his thought. Hello Logan , how are you today? I am the head shark... The Shark rambled away. His head started to hurt like crazy, no wonder you get hurt mentally. Logan punched the shark in the nose, but the shark was too fast for it and sent a mental connection to Logan which gave him a small jab in his head. The world started to turn and spin in Logan eyes. Then it went black. Logan woke up in a seaweed covered rock as a bed.
"Uuuuuh"Logan groaned. His eyes slowly flitted open. He saw a girl standing above him.
"Hey, that was a good shot! I really wonder why the teachers to this, I mean we've just started Middle school in this hello hole!" Said the girl. It was Eleanor.
"Hey" Logan muttered. Inside him was swooping with joy, Eleanor just talked to him. "I'll leave you to rest," Eleanor smiled and then headed out the door. Logan laid back down on to the bed. One part of him hurt. Another part of him wondered why Eleanor came, they weren't even friends.

For me, I think that this is the WORST way to start school right? You would not want to get attacked by a shark. Back to the scenario...

"Mr Hunterman, if you think you're feeling better, you may dismiss and go home, I shall be teletelling your parents" the nurse, who just entered the room, said.
"Yeah, thanks" Logan mumbled. He stood up and grabbed his bag that was left on the floor. Logan walked out and slammed the door shut.
What a good way to start the semester He thought sarcastically as he swam out to the sub travel station. No one was outside, the streets of this underwater Zone was bare. People were either at work or at school. Or so he assumed.
He sub-travelled back home.
"Mother, I am not well, the bloody hell place sent me back." He wailed like a baby. But Mrs Hunterman wasn't there. Nor was Mr Hunterman. "Mother?" "Father?"
