Ezra's P.O.V

Master came to get us but mostly his money. Joe did as he was told and said that we were perfectly good. I glanced over at Hera who had a blank face on and looking at the floor like me. Her eyes looked over to meet mine and I quickly looked away. Once master was done here, he pulled on our chains back to the ship. Hera walked behind me again.

We entered the ship then ramp closed. Master took the chains off and we sat where we were the first time. We were silent expect for our breathing. I played with my fingers until we arrived at the slave camp. Master came out and dragged us to our cells where our food and drinks were. I sat down and started to eat and drink while my cell door closed. When master walked away in disgust, I looked over at Hera's cell to see that she had half of what I had.

I looked back down and ate the rest of my food and sipped the rest of my water. I crawled over to my bed of pillows and laid down on my side thinking before slowly falling asleep.

I wake up to find myself being dragged down the hall to the punishment room. "You need to be punished lothrat for breaking the cup," he said. I was terrified and watched as all the faceless slaves somehow watching me being pulled down the hall. Why were they faceless? Then I realized that it was because I don't know them. I never remembered the faces of other slaves here.

I've been looking at the ground so much, not just cause it was a rule to show respect but another way to look away from the pained looks of pity. I hate people who pity me. Maybe that's another reason why they are faceless or maybe the only.

I hear a door open then I'm being dragged done the stone cold stairs into darkness. I try to stand up but my body felt like it was tied up yet there were no ropes around me I think. It was to dark to see anything. The ground went smoother than the rough stairs which meant that I'm getting closer to the punishment room. I was scared to go in there after my last nightmare and almost panicked right now.

"I can feel your fear," my master said sending chills down my spine. I was tossed into the room and saw the torch that barely lit the room. I landed with a grunt and rolled over so I was on my back. "Ezra," my master said walking over to me and kneeling next to me. I moved my face so it wasn't so close to his. He kept getting closer until he whispered in my ear, "Wake up."

I shot up sweating and my heart hitting my chest so hard that it could burst out. "Kid, are you alright," I heard someone say making me jump and get into a defensive position. "Kid," I heard the voice again and it sounded like Hera's. I looked over to the other cell to see her standing at the bars and gripping her hands on them. "Are you ok over there?" She asked in her normal tone whispering, "You sounded like you were having a nightmare."

I felt my eyes burn and hide my face so she wouldn't see me cry silently. "It's ok," she said in that motherly tone, "Everything it going to be fine, just let it out." I thought Hera was going to be mad at me since what happened at the bar but she sounds so caring right now and trying to comfort me even if she was in a different cell. Her voice was so soothing that I almost believed that she cared for me but I still cried silently.

I took and couple deep breaths in and out to calm myself down. Satisfied that I was done crying, I wiped my face and laid back down on my pillows. I sniffed a bit and had some shaky breaths but I was fine now. "Are you ok?" She asked again. Man, when does she ever give up? I gave a thumbs up and heard Hera laugh a little. Why was she laughing at me? I guess I am worthless.

Then I looked over at her and she gave me a thumbs up a I almost laughed too. Now I could see why she laughed, that was kind of funny. "Alright, goodnight," she said and walked over to her own pillows. I looked at my hand that Hera held under hers. It felt cold when her hand left but for some reason I could still feel a tingly feeling on my hand like she was still holding it.

I let the feeling sooth me back to sleep and it worked and I was out like a light. I didn't notice that I still had a fate smile on my lips as I slept peacefully with no nightmares.
