veronica

i held my head and groaned, immediately regretting last nights decisions. i was being forced to go to school anyways. betty was already up, changed into her clothes and already finished breakfast. whereas i had just managed to pull on a dress.

"we're gonna be late, ronnie." betty said in an exasperated tone of voice. i rolled my eyes and put on my sunglasses, picking up the cheaply made coffee off my bed side table. "we already are late." i laughed. she drove me over to the school before saying goodbye to polly. it was kind of weird having betty's sister here, but i didn't want to make a bad impression.

"veronica! and... betty." cheryl hurried up to us. today, she was wear a floral printed top and high waisted jeans. her auburn hair was wrapped neatly in a bun. and again, she was showing attitude to my girlfriend.

"cheryl." betty said unenthusiastically. it was very annoying that cheryl and i had some flirting going on. i didn't want to like cheryl that way. i was in love with betty, and yet it's like she's almost forcing me to make a move on her.

"you look terrible, ronnie. what happened?" cheryl asked, betty scoffing after. i sighed but answered anyway, "just hungover. now what do you want?"

"nothing! just after school i need some help with studying. i was wondering if you could help me out." cheryl pointed to the chemistry textbook in her arms.
"no, cheryl i-"
"of course she can. it's always good to help out a friend!" betty interrupted me. cheryl smiled and thanked us both before leaving the two of us alone.

"what the hell, b?" i flipped my sunglasses up, but the sun gave me a headache so i flipped them back down. "what are you trying to do?"

"i need to know if she's trying to steal you from me or not. if she is, it's always good to knock her down a peg. if she's not, fine, case solved." betty explained to me with a smirk. i groaned,
"okay. but what if she tries to kiss me or something?"
"then we'll know she's the manipulative cheat i thought she was!" and it's not like i could disagree now, cheryl was already coming over to my house.
