Halsey - Trouble

So if you have read the private chapters of this book, you can see how Julien was back before he moved two years ago. He was a very sweet and gentle boy - very much all about Jade. Now you can see a little more into how much the past two years have changed him, but we will dive more into that.

Julien's POV

Jade's eyes rolled back in her head, her lids closing as she slumped forward. Maya gasped and my hands automatically moved on their own accord to catch Jade as she collapsed, unconscious due to the strong flow of adrenaline that had coursed through her.

"F**k" I spat, hating that I was in this situation. I looked down at her, worry making its way through me. Blood was spattered across her face and dress, her hand busted open and covered in her own, mixed with Eve's. Hopefully, Eve didn't have a blood disease.

The old Jade would have never done something like this. She would have ignored them, telling them off with that wit of hers, making them feel dumb.

She was like a mad woman, attacking Eve with every bit of anger twisting inside her, making her wrath tangible in every sense. She reminded me of myself this past year in Paris when I got kicked out of school because of a fight with the head master's son.

"What do we do!?" Maya panicked, moving beside me, gazing down at Jade with worry in her eyes.

Sighing, I side glanced her as she peered up at me as if I were the one with all the answers. "I don't know but you better figure something out because if she stays here, they are going to take her to jail for that." I jerked my head toward the door to the classroom, gesturing to the mess she made in the hall.

I couldn't take my eyes off of Jade's form, slumped over with her head resting against my stomach as I held her shoulders up. She was so... different. What happened to her?

Maya scoffed as she raised her brows, folding her arms over her chest, looking at me as if I had lost my damn mind. "Excuse me? I need need to figure something out?"

"You're her friend. Take her home." I shrugged, pushing Jade back slowly and laying her on the desk gently so she didn't bump her head.

She looked so innocent when her eyes were closed. I remember watching her for hours on end when she used to sleep next to me, her arms around me with a little smile on her lips. That was a long time ago. Things change, people change.

"You're her friend too, Julien. Or at least, you used to be before you turned into a selfish, self-absorbed, sadistic, ass-hole jerk!" She spat, her arms uncrossing to make fists at her side. Her eyes reflected the anger she felt toward me and I didn't understand why. I mean, I did, but I didn't. She didn't know my side of the story, though.

Maya was both our friends. She was more Jade's, but she hung out with the both of us. I didn't associate with her anymore, but the memories were there. She had always been bright, bubbly and wild. At least she hasn't changed a bit. Her anger was always malicious when it came out.

"I'm not her friend, Maya. You know that." My tone was a warning, telling her not to try me.

She narrowed her eyes up at me, tossing her long dark curls over her caramel shoulder. "You're a phuc*ing as$ hole you know that? You just up and leave her, driving her crazy and because of you, she beat Eve's ass. It was your fault! You shouldn't be running around with Eve trying to make Jade upset. You knew what would happen!" Her hands started waving in the air and I knew she was about to pop off.
