Chapter Nine : The Flight

'So how do you like the ride so far?' a voice says echoing in Kaitlyn's mind, startled she remembers it's Merlon.

"Really, warn a girl next time," Kaitlyn huffs out loud.

Merlon chuckles,'Even if I warned you, you'd still get startled because either way I'd have spoken in your mind'.

"Touche," She mumbles," Anyway where are we headed?"

'To the Castle,' Merlon says shortly before speeding faster in his flight making Kaitlyn cling to his back.

"Do you think we'll hit any birds up here?," Kaitlyn asks aloud.

Merlon just snorts.

"Careful you might turn into a pig," Kaitlyn jokes.

Merlon rolls his eyes before continuing to the castle. As the castle comes into view, Kaitlyn feels as if she's seen it somewhere. Kaitlyn suddenly gets a pain in her head, she reaches up to clutch her head only to lose balance on Merlons back. Almost falling off she tries clinging onto his back with both hands again but falls off in the process. Merlon only snorts looking annoyed.

Kaitlyn glares at him as she's falling,"Don't just watch me fall, you have wings, I do not" She shouts into the wind. As she falls her hair flies up into her face making her sputter slightly. Her glare on Merlon hardens.

Merlon just smirks and hangs back for a little bit. Kaitlyn just crosses her arms and gets an annoyed look on her face. The wind whipping past her ears, continues to make her hair fly into her face. Merlon chuckles before swooping down and catching her. On his back she then notices how close she was to the ground and punches him in the back only to hear him laughing in her mind.

'dii lokaal, I will always catch you if you fall' Merlon says in an enticing tone.

"How cliche," She says rolling her eyes mockingly at him.

Kaitlyn notices him circling the castle.

"Aren't you going to land?" She asks.

'I wanted to spend more time with dii silliin' He mutters.

Kaitlyn just narrows her eyes,"Well I'm tired, a lot has happened, I barely know you, and I need some beauty sleep so let's land this thing".

'So needy', Merlon chuckles before dive bombing towards the ground making Kaitlyn gasp.

Suddenly a roar is heard in the distance. Merlons head shoots into the direction the roar came from. While idling flapping his wings he sees a figure in the distance and narrows his eyes slightly.

'Looks like you may not get the rest you need liin', Merlon sighs.

"Damn Liars," She mutters looking in the distance,"Where's my bat?"

Merlon chuckles momentarily before sobering up and going to land.
