Ava hadn't meant to say it, but the words slipped before she could stop herself. She'd been laughing as Lizzie threw popcorn at her, distracting her from the movie that they were supposed to be watching.
"I love you." Ava had said, out of breath from laughing so hard. As soon as she'd realized what she said she froze, waiting for what her girlfriend would say. Sure they'd been together for three months, but she didn't want to rush into anything.
"I love you too, loser." Lizzie said, giggling at the relieved look that came over Ava's face.
