Meet and Greet

"Next!"

I felt my heart racing as tears continuously streamed down my cheeks. I was meeting him. I held back a sob as I walked closer to him. He was real.

"Hi, hun!" Shawn greeted happily, before the smile on his face was replaced by a slight frown. "Are you okay?"

"I'm more than okay. These are happy tears, I promise," I said, laughing.

"Well, lemme wipe those off for you," he said, cupping my face with his enormous hands as his thumbs found their to every tear. "There. That's better."

I smiled. "Thank you."

He chuckled. "It's no problem, hun. What's your name?"

"(Y/N)," I replied.

He smiled. "How've you been?"

"Honestly, pretty miserable," I said, looking down.

"Hey, hey, hey, look at me," he told me, squeezing my shoulders slightly.

My eyes found their way to his brown ones, and for once, I felt safe. I felt like I was in a completely different world, as if the whole world just faded. It was like we were in our own imaginary bubble.

I'd have to thank my mom for telling me to go last.

"Tell me about it. It's always better to tell someone else rather than keep it to yourself," he said.

"Everyone hates me," I sighed. "I get laughed at at school, called a freak. Everyone's against me," I started to list down the problems I had.

"Oh, hun," he said sympathetically. "I'm sorry."

"It's nothing. I'm used to it," I stated, giving him a fake smile.

"It's not nothing, okay? If you need anything, just DM me or something, alright?"

"What?"

"I mean it. DM me if you need anything, okay? Even if I don't reply, I promise I'm still there."

"I love you," I blurted out, hugging him tightly. "So so much."

"I love you so so much, too," he replied, hugging me back. "See? Not everyone hates you. I'm on your side, okay?"

I smiled, a genuine smile this time, and nodded.

"Should we take a picture?"
