The Uknown

We can't know what's beyond the uknown,

Beyond the stars that once shone

Far deeper than ink and bone

Surely there is no clone.

I feel as if I can almost graze the moon with my fingertips,

Just like my beloved's bottom lip,

Sail the holly pirates' ship,

Where the wind starts to nip,

The water surrounds me,

So do the stars,

And from far away I could see

The shape of Mars,

Maybe I will see all of it another day that's not today,

But for now I stand by the edge of the creaky wooden bay.
