GUYS I DID IT I FOUND THE SHORT STORY THAT INTRODUCED ME TO KIRAN SQUEE

It's called "From Underneath Dark Skies" by chalantness on fanfiction.net if you want to look it up, if not I'll post the link in the comments if you want to scroll through all of them.

MY LITTLE RAY OF SUNSHINE AHHHH

THIS HAS 1K WHAT THE HECK

Also DC Wattys are back so I entered this book in the "Forgottens" category  because honestly I felt Kiran was completely forgotten until I started this book X)

Cassie dragged me through the Watchtower, as if I wasn't going to be following her around everywhere to see every inch of a not-so-secret superhero base.

"I'm in space," I gasped, suddenly noticing the stars were much closer and clearer out the huge window dome.

"Yup!" Cassie grinned as she pulled me along. Robin ran after her, probably to make sure we didn't break anything in the process.

"I'm in space!" I declared again as Cassie skidded to a stop outside the kitchen, where several hero-types were staggered about. Several of them looked up, but my smile didn't dim, and neither did Cassie's. Robin, however, seemed a tad uncomfortable with everyone's eyes on him.

"Has anyone seen Black Canary?" Cassie asked, still with a firm grip around the markings on my wrist.

"Debriefing beta-squad. They just got back," said a lizard-like guy who was just an inch or two taller than myself.

"Who's the new chum?"

Cassie stepped to the side, pulling me into more view. "This is my friend, Kiran. She just got superpowers, and we want to ask Canary about her joining the team."

"How'd she get watchtower access?" The guy's huge, red, fish-like eyes narrowed at me and Cassie.

Cassie simply stuck out her tongue at him. "Wonder Woman approved." She stalked off, me and Robin in tow.

"Who was-?"

"That's La'gaan, Lagoon Boy." robin said. "He's from Atlantis, like Aqualad, and he just went through a breakup, so don't take anything he says personally. He's actually...very nice?"

Cassie gave a very exaggerated snort and something told me that Robin was stretching the truth and being very nice to this Lagoon Boy.

"He's bitter because human's don't trust his fishy appearance," Cassie said, still dragging me along. We would up back in the room we'd started in, where we found Wonder Woman and Aqualad talking with Black Canary, along with Kid Flash and a few other brightly costumed superheroes.

I leaned down to whisper in Cassie's ear as she hopped from foot to foot while waiting impatiently for Black Canary to finish talking with the others.

"I thought you said Kid Flash died?"

Cassie stopped on one foot, almost losing her balance and falling flat on her face.

She bit her lip. "He did." She nodded at the tiny ketchup-and-mustard-colored hero in front of us. "That's his cousin, Wally wanted him to take over the Kid Flash position even before he died."

My stomach twisted guiltily.

Black Canary nodded to a blonde woman in orange, who immediately turned and started talking to Aqualad. The yellow-striped woman and the guy with the gold helmet walked off together, arms around each other, and the newest Kid Flash sped off towards the kitchen.

Side-by-side with Wonder Woman, Canary faced me and smiled.

"You must be the young woman made of light that everyone's so excited about." Canary said.
