Charisma POV:

"Girl come out with us tonight!" My best friend Cameron tried convincing me while we was on the phone

"I can't I have a huge test coming up" I said flipping the pages of my book and writing notes down

"That's all you do Char it's Friday night and your studying for a test that's on Monday, you don't even hang with me no more" She said with a slight attitude making me feel kinda bad because we haven't been able to hang out as much anymore like I would want to due to me about to graduate college.

"Cam I'm sorry how about I'll meet you guys there in about..." I trailed off looking at the clock on my wall seeing that it was 10:30 "An hour but I'm not staying long" I warned her

"Okay as long as we get to hang out" She said excitedly making me chuckle a little

Closing my book I went to my closet I had plenty of clothes but being able to pick an actual outfit was hard

"This is why I stay home" I mumbled more so to myself

After picking out 3 outfits I decided on the more comfortable one which was a pair of ripped white jeans paired with a white see-through blouse and a bomber jacket to go over it.

Grabbing my car keys and phone I walked downstairs

Grabbing my car keys and phone I walked downstairs. To see my mother in the living room watching soap operas as she always if she isn't working.

"Where are you going young lady?" She asked taking off her glasses arching her perfectly waxed eyebrows at me

"Out with a couple friends" I told her not wanting to go into detail

"Don't you have an exam on Monday?" She said asked sitting up looking over at me

"Yes but I have all day tomorrow and Sunday. " I told her

"Mhm you going out with that hoodlum girl Cameron" She said her name in disgust mentally rolled my eyes at her because she acted as if she wasn't from the projects of Brooklyn

My mother is what you called she was racist against her own kind which I never understood because before she went to college and became a dentist. She was raised in the projects both my grandparents worked hard putting her through school. Once she got money she seem to get stuck up and acted as if she didn't know where she came from.

Yes I have my way of being spoiled but that's how I grew up. I was beyond humbled though I would never gloat about having money or be the flashy kind.

Shifting my weight from one leg to the next "Yes her" I said trying to refrain myself from rolling my eyes at her

"Okay just don't be long we have brunch with your Aunt tomorrow" she said turning around back to the tv and I walked away and rolled my eyes
