Charisma POV:

"Do I have too" I huffed as we sat in the car in the drive way of my mother's house with my aunt

It's been a couple of weeks since my Aunt wanted me to talk to my mom but I kept avoiding it and putting off because I honestly didn't want to talk to her nor be around her.

"I mean she has been peaking out every few minutes so I'm sure she knows we here by now" She rubbed my back

Huffing a little "Okay" I said as we both got out of the car and walked up the front door

As my Aunt knocked on the door we waited for her to open the door. As the door open I seen the women I called "mom"standing before me.

"What you two doing here?" She crossed her arms making internally roll my eyes at her rudeness act as if she didn't know we was outside already.

My aunt sighed a little "Zen wanted to talk to you" She just opened the wider so that we could walk inside

Walking inside and sitting in the living room she walked in after us sitting in an opposite couch.

Childish I thought

"So you're here. Talk" She said folding her arms

"Rose I don't know what gotten into you but you need to stop this is your daughter. Your only child at that you should want her to be part of your life instead of trying to control hers" My aunt scolded her sister for her behavior

"Lauren please go have some children before telling me how to and when to take care of mine" She said making me gasp lowly at her remark

My aunt had miscarried earlier in her marriage and found out she couldn't have no more kids soon after. I always asked why she didn't adopted she said I was like hers so she didn't find the need to.

Looking over at my aunt she held a pain expression making me instantly feel bad for what my mother said to her.

"You know what I can't take this negativity if you want to be here alone go ahead. Misery loves company and I will not accompany you" She got up kissing my cheek before leaving.

Shaking my head I just gave my mom a side eye.

"So what did you come here for? To ask to come back?"

"No I didn't even want to come here I wanted to stay away from you far as possibly. I came to tell you that I have an internship after graduation" I said she just stood there with a blank face that I couldn't read

"So you haven't drop out yet?" she asked shaking my head at her

"You know what Rose you won't have to worry about me coming back here anymore" I said with tears welled up in my eyes leaving out of the house. It's like I lost both parents without them even passing.

Yes I was crying it saddened me that my own mother thought that low of me and didn't have any type of faith in me. She didn't show was ounce of excitement that I had gotten an internship that I had work so hard for.

How can one lady be so negative and miserable?

Walking up a couple streets from the house it was an ice cream shop that I used to go to. Once getting there I ordered what I wanted taking my ice cream and took a seat in a near by booth.

"Kaykay come hea'." I heard somebody yell

"I like ya hair" A little girl who was around 6 or 7 came up to me and played with the end of my curls
