Three Months (2)

In the three months that the Lei Clan decided to keep a low profile.  Lihua sent Xin and Ethan to investigate her mother's side of the family, the Han Clan. Although no one in the Han Clan lived in the capital. They are a noble naval family that lived on the coast.  Their land property consisted of the whole eastern coast line.  They held the rights to all the ports on the eastern seaboard where trade businesses are prevalent. They had their own ship building business, sea salt business and logging business.  The naval fleet were built, controlled and lead by the Han Clan. The Han Clan has a firm hold on the eastern seaboard.  They were known for their strength and power, but they were also known for their loyalty to the King.  To have their loyalty would also mean to have the throne. 

"The Fleet Admiral is Lily's father, your grandfather, Jiyong Han. Her mother, your grandmother is Chae Han.  Lily has one older brother, the Admiral of the naval fleet, your Uncle, Dae Han.  And one younger sister, your Aunt, Bom Han."  Xin reported. "Dae Han is married to SoHyun, a commoner.  While Bom Han is married to Seung Choi, the Vice Admiral of the naval fleet." 

"The salt, logging, and ship building business that you got from Leo all came from the Han family.  Given to him as gifts after the marriage between your mother and him."  

"What were their reactions when my mother died?  What were their reactions when my death was announced?"  Lihua asked them.  

"When your mother died, they wanted tot take you away from him, however they had no cause to.  Each and every request to visit you over the years were denied.  However they did have servants that raised you that gave the Han Clan consistent updates.  With the announcement of your death, the Han Clan descended to the city for answers.  But Prime Minister Lei had everything planned.  He paid five doctors to come up with evidence and become witnesses to your declining health and death.  Your servants were isolated and put to death, soon afterwards. By the time the Han Clan arrived to the city, Prime Minister Lei had already cremated your 'body' and buried you next to your mother." Ethan told her.  "Without physical proof of your mistreatment they couldn't take you from him, while you were alive.  Now presented with 'proof' of your death by five different doctors, they couldn't prove that something else happened to you."

"However, they have more than one eye in the Lei Clan household.  It has been reported to them of you disappearance.  Leo hiring a private investigator to find any clues of your abduction. And how he staged your death and funeral."  Xin told Lihua. "They also have been looking for you." 

"Then we should also invite them to my wedding.  I think a family reunion is long over due." Lihua said.

A week after the three month long reflection of the Lei family, the first thing Cindy and the two madam's of the Lei Clan did was shop.  The wedding of Hell King and Lady Lihua would be held in two weeks and they wanted to make sure they looked their best.  

Although they lost some of their reputation and became paupers, they still had a lot of influence.  Prime Minister Lei called in all of his favors and was able to acquire some trading businesses and rights.  He was able to bring in some more income to the Lei family although not by much.  

At the dress shop,full of noble ladies and their maids, they ran into Chae, Bom and SoHyun. The six ladies looked at each other in hateful stares.  

"Its finally good to see the faces of the Lei Madam's.  We've been here a week and hear a lot of the downfall of the Lei family.  Tell me Madam's, how is it that your own Lei son was the cause of this downfall?"  Chae said she slowly fanned herself. 

"There's no one to blame but the parents."  Bom said to her mother.  "It's the parents fault for not teaching their child any better." 

"Tsk."  Madame Tori said.  "Don't act like you Han family is all that." 

"But the business that we gave you Lei clan were all given to Ghost Mark to pay off Liam's debts.  The business were broken up and sold off piece by piece.  Ghost Mark is very smart to do so.  They earned more money by doing so.  And the properties that your family gave to you as a dowry were sold to your family's enemies.  Even your personal belongings were sold at action.  How embarrassing."  Chae said as she eyed them.  "If I had such a son, I would have suffocated him in the womb." 

"Mother," SoHyun called.  "I heard a rumor that several doctors were called to the Lei Manor for the past couple of weeks to look at the Lei heir.  Apparently, Young Master Liam has not been himself lately.  Word is he thinks he's King and can do anything he wants. Apparently everyone he meets is a 'lady of the night' and would rape them. Even male servants and guards were attacked and raped. What a depraved Young Master you have." 

"The doctors who came to check his health also were attacked." Bom said.  "I guess the Young Master Liam still lives up to his name as a flower pants after all.  Even the three month reflection period, wasn't really a reflection, but a cover up for his depravity." 

"You---You.." Tori said in anger.  "How dare you tell such lies!" 

"Lies?"  SoHyun said.  "I heard it directly from the doctor's mouth.  And just not one doctor, but from three. Should you be so shameless to call me a liar now?"  

 The three ladies were so embarrassed that they left the shop soon afterwards word spread of the incident at the clothing shop and of Liam's depraved ways.  

In the Winter Rain Tea House, the chatter kept getting louder and louder as gossip ran wild. 

"I heard he even attacked his Sister and Mother."  Someone said in Winter Rain Tea House.  

"How disgusting, that's incest!" Someone else whispered.  

"No wonder he was a flower pants. He unleashed his desires on ladies of the night to keep his true self hidden.  But once confined, he couldn't hide it anymore and unleashed himself on his household."  Someone else said.  "To have such a son as him, I would have done what Lady Chae said and killed the child in the womb."  

Lihua smile as she sat in her office that she shared with Winger.  

"Everything is going on as planned Lady Lihua." Winger said.  

"Did you send out the invitation to the Han Clan this morning?" Lihua asks. 

"Yes, Lady Lihua.  They accepted the invitation and will be here at the appointed time."  Winger answered.  "Everything that we discussed has been prepared well.  The tea house will be closing early today.  Every patron knows of this.  There are also signs up on the door to remind them." 

"I will go prepare."  Lihua said.  "Send word if you find any trouble."  

"As Lady Lihua commands."  Winger said.
