Memories are my enemy,

They fade a bit over time,

but they never truly leave you

They are permanently imprinted on your mind,

and no matter how hard you try,

try to forget,

try to overlook,

they still effect you.

You can think you're fine,

calmly hiding behind the mask you've crafted for yourself,

when you sink to the shower floor,

towel covering your face.

Uncertain if you're trying to suffocate yourself

or simply hiding from your shame.

And no matter how hard I try,

I can't think of you without cursing,

cursing at myself,

or at you,

I'm utterly uncertain

All that I'm certain of right now is,

That I cannot carry both of our worlds alone

it's time for you to pick one.
