“The universe wants to be noticed.” –The Fault in Our Stars
If I had the capability to believe in thing I knew without a show of a doubt weren’t true than I could look at the universe as this giant mass of a living thing, screaming to be noticed. Like a child it will do anything for attention, even metaphorically throwing objects at your head to get you to turn around.
The universe is comprised of cells and matter in infinite quantities somehow keeping the Earth spinning and our bodies pumping with blood, but the universe must be a sad thing. Watching generation after generation pass away, degrade back into the earth’s core. A silent being it must remain as it watches over us.
