No one's POV

Bilbo and the dwarves managed to reach the mountain unhurt. But that is when things went wrong for the company. They got captured by goblins and taken to goblin town inside the mountain. Gandalf rescued them just as the goblin king ordered their execution. Bilbo was not caught though and met Gollum. They played a game that Bilbo won, but Bilbo stole Gollum's ring which allows him to disappear.

Once Bilbo reunited with Gandalf and the others, an other orc pack appeared lead by Azog. The company had climbed pine trees that were on the edge of a cliff. After a fight with the pack leaving Thorin injured. The great eagles came and took them to Carrock. Where Gandalf healed Thorin, who finally accepted Bilbo into the company.

However, the orc pack was still hunting them and Bilbo also noticed a huge bear. Gandalf took them to a house of the last skin changer Beorn. Who wasn't home when they arrived, but was there the next morning chopping wood. Now they are all in his house having breakfast as he poured the drinks. "So you are the one they call Oakenshield" he states.

"Tell me why Azog the Defiler hunting you?" Beorn asks Thorin.

"You know of Azog, how?" Thorin asks in return.

"My people were among the first to live in the mountains, before the orcs came down from the north. The defiler killed most of my family, but some he enslaved" Beorn explains. Bilbo just then notices the cuff and chain on Beorn's left wrist. "Not for work, but for entertainment/ Caging skin changers then torturing them" he states.

"There are other skin changers?" Bilbo asks.

"Once there were many, now there is only one" Beorn answers. "You need to reach the mountain before the last day of Autumn" he states changing the subject.

"Before Durin's day, yes" Gandalf states.

"You're running out of time" Beorn reminds them.

"Which is why we are to go through Mirkwood" Gandalf tells him.

"A darkest lays on that forest" Beorn states. "The wood elves are not like their kin, they are less wise and are more dangerous" he tells them. "But it matters not" he states.

"What do you mean?" Thorin asks.

"These lands are crawling with orcs, their numbers are growing and you are on foot. You will never reach the forest alive" Beorn explains. "I don't like dwarves, they a greedy and are blind to those they deem lesser then their own. But orcs I hate more, what do you need?" he asks.

Soon Beorn had given them ponies and horse to use to get to Mirkwood. He only asked they release them so that could return to him before entering the forest. "Oh one more thing before you leave" he states.

"Want is it Beorn?" Gandalf asks.

"You know who is in the mountain other then that dragon Gandalf. She must be returned to her people when the dragon is killed" Beorn states. Gandalf nods his head before he and the company set towards Mirkwood.

(Mirkwood)

They reached Mirkwood, but Gandalf said he had to leave immediately. "Remember stay on the path, don't touch the water and remember wait for me at the overlook of Dale. Good luck" Gandalf tells them before getting back on his horse and riding away.

The company was doing fine following the trail until they reached the stone bridge. Which was broken and they could not jump across. So they left the path following the river to find an other way across. They find a crop of vines and branches that hang across the river and used them to cross.

But they had now lost the path and end wondering into danger. Giant spiders attacked the dwarves while Bilbo looked for the sun. Bilbo managed to free the dwarves, but they got surrounded again by the spiders. The wood elves saved them only to capture them and take them to their kingdom. Now Thorin is before Thranduil while the other dwarves were taken to the dungeons. Bilbo was free and started to look for a way to free the dwarves and for them all to escape.

"Some may imagine a noble quest is at hand. A quest to reclaim a homeland, slay a dragon and release a princess. I myself sense a more prosaic motive" Thranduil states as he approaches Thorin. "Attempted burglary or something of that ilk" he says. "You have found a way in" he states looking at Thorin's face.

"You seek that which would bestow upon you the right to rule. The king's jewel, the Arkenstone" Thranduil states. "It is precious to you beyond measure" he says. Thorin was getting impatient he knew all of this any way. "I understand that, there are gems inside that mountain. That I too desire and of course the princess that needs to be freed" he explains. "I offer you my help" he tells Thorin.

"I am listening" Thorin states looking at Thranduil.

"I will let you go. If you but return want is mine and free the princess" Thranduil explains.

"A favor for a favor" Thorin muses as he paces.

"You have my word, one king to another" Thranduil assures him.

"I would not trust Thranduil to honour his word, should the end of all days be upon us" Thorin declares. "You who lacks all honour!" he shouts at Thranduil. "I have seen how you treat your friends" he states. "We came to you once starving and homeless, seeking your help. But you turned your back to the suffering of my people and the inferno that destroyed us" he reminds Thranduil. "Imrid amrad ursul" he tells Thranduil. (Translation: Die a death of the flames.)

"Do not talk to me of dragon fire" Thranduil says getting in Thorin's face. "I know it's wreath and ruin" he states and burn mark appears on his left cheek. That he usually keeps hidden with his magic. "I have faced the fire drakes of the north" he tells Thorin and steps back as his face becomes flawless again.

"I warned your grandfather of the danger his greed would summon and he did not listen. You are just like him" Thranduil states as he climbs the staircase to his throne. "Stay here if you will and rot. A hundred years is a mere blink in the life of an elf. I am patient, I can wait" he states sitting down as a guard takes Thorin to the dungeon.
