Chapter Nine : Even If I Die Trying

~ Laurin's P.O.V~

" Well what do we have here " Someone said.

We all jumped and turned around. Me and my friends jumped in front of everyone.

" Elijah " I hissed.
" Well that's no way to treat your friend " He said with a smirk.
" We are FAR from friends " I yelled.
" Too bad. Anyways, I'm here to give you a message " He laughed.
" Hurry up " Nick hissed.
" The King wishes for me to tell you that you will be killed. You have gone against your King and the oath you took, an act of treason. Therefore you will be executed " Elijah smirked.

I was shocked but he wasn't done.

" But I see the rules have changed. We cannot kill the mates of werewolves, but we can kill the others. " He added.
" Screw off! " Alex growled.
" He'll be here in tomorrow. Have fun " Elijah said with a evil smirk.

And just as soon as he came, he was gone.

" Damn it " I mumbled.
" Who was that? " Faith asked.
" Elijah, the Kings second in command " I answered.
" What's with your little fight? " Alex asked me.
" Long story " I replied.
" He's her ex and he wants revenge " Nick mumbled.

But just loud enough that we ALL HEARD!

" NICK! " I yelled angrily.

I ran and tackled him. We landed on the ground and I rolled so I was on top. I punched him over and over again until I was forced off. I kept trying to get to him but whoever was holding me wasn't going to let me.

" Laurin! " I heard Alex growl.

I watched as Alex took my arm and we walked inside the house. We went to him room and he locked the door.

" What the hell was that?! " He yelled.
" Me trying to kill Nick for saying the unspeakable! " I yelled back.
" What, you dated that bloodsucker?! " he yelled back.
" ITS NOT LIKE I DON'T REGRET IT! " I screamed.

I flopped down on his bed and tried to calm down. A few moments later I felt the bed dip beside me. I looked and saw Alex looking at me. He put his arm around me and pulled me into his chest.

" I'm sorry " He kept whispering.
" It's ok, it's my fault I raged out anyways " I said.

We stayed silent but I needed to talk.

" I'm going to fight " I spoke.
" What? " Alex asked.
" I'm going to fight the King. Even if I die trying"
